Relaxing, beautiful and also deadly at times.

As well as completely apolitical.

Zen-like relaxation and beautiful little details.

Interesting experience for aspiring authors.

This program offers a backgroundworld in images and optionally spots to write something with the start of a sentence. When reaching the "end", you get the option to export your story with a (admittedly small) slice of the background of that spot.

Has your homebrew-bartender-AI burned down your bar? And took all your entertainment robots with it? And then went on and took everything it could (including your illegally downloaded and home-printed car) and rebuild it into drones attacking you?

Then I guess you should go and sue the developers of this game for taking your misfortune and turning it into a videogame.

Oh, and do change the adminpassword for your printed electronic suit. "correct horse battery staple" really is not safe.

Dejobaan did it again. They took one very strange idea and made a game around it. And it's wonderful. But also punishingly hard at times.

Other than that... I don't really know what to say about it. It's certainly not for everyone, but I'm loving it.

A solid remake of the original UFO: Enemy Unknown/X-COM: UFO Defense which despite lacking several extremely fun elements (bases being attacked, multiple bases and strike forces, etc.) is still pretty good.

While early DLCs like the Slingshot Pack and the Elite Soldier Pack can be savely ignored, the later expansion Enemy Within adds more diversity with new mechanics (gene labs, MEC-Troopers, EXULT) as well as new special missions and more maps for the generic missions. Also the Second Wave Options (coming with EW) add quite a bit of replayability and challenge to the game.

Enemy Within doesn't add the elements from the original I miss the most, but I still highly recommend to get it as it is as close to a "proper expansion" from back in the old days as we are going to get.

And maybe... they'll remake Terror from the Deep as well and add those things in there ;)
