This is one of those games that needs the neutral recommendation. It is an enjoyable game and you could have fun with it if you are coming in to just beat a new challenge by picking the "right way" to play. If you are looking to experiment with different build styles in a deckbuilder game, I am not sure this is the one.

While there are some limitations, the game gives you ample opportunities to come up with a whole bunch of viable builds to progress through the fights. Then it commits the cardinal sin of blocking your progress because "a particular boss is not supposed to be beaten that way". The best example is the Knight from the 3rd arena. If your deck is not built around burst damage and/or heavy defence, then it is nigh impossible to advance. For example, my Pyro build focusing on range, utility and movement while relying on DoT and positioning failed hard even though I advanced throughout the whole game almost without taking any damage in any previous encounters. Given what I know now, I can already tell you what you would need to do to advance but the game lost my interest as it failed to deliver what I personally expected from it. Also, there are other games out there that does the burst damage combo builds much better.

The saddest part for me is that the movement and the spatial elements is what separates this game from better deckbuilders with more interesting combo options. Wish the designer spent more time playing to this game's unique strengths instead.
