The game modes ranged from relaxed building without monster to epic survival against waves of monsters running through your wall maze like a tower defense game. Discovering build orders and maze layouts critical to survival at the higher difficulties. Every update adds something new to deal with.

While releases have slowed down since hitting 1.0, the core game is just as relaxing as you want it to be.

I find myself approaching this game like Banished, but in space, trying to figure out what will keep my colonists alive.

All the content of wurm, but you can speed up all the actions to make things achievable within weeks and not years.
