Isometric perspective, temple trap puzzles (spikes, pressure pads, walls, hidden loot, etc), twin-stick combat.
It's a pretty nice game. Good way to spend time with friends so long as nobody's pressed for time. The continues are forgiving, so it's not the end of the world if somebody keeps dying. It helps to have the friend(s) in voice chat to coordinate strategy.

Thanks to Steam Remote Play, if you have a friend who owns the game you can play with them as local two player mode without needing to buy the game yourself. But if you do local two-player, only the owner will get achievements.

There is a multiplayer option, if both players own the game, which is more convenient if neither of you owns a gamepad/controller, since you can't both use the WASD configuration. One of you could rig it for IJKL or something instead if you feel up to it.

I played Stardew Valley. This is a lot like that, but 3D.
Really, if you play one, you'll get a handle for the other.
That said, it's good.
Also, a heads up if you want to play: there's a wikia guide, RPS = rock, paper, scissors. Also, the people in this town are so lonely, they appreciate you coming over just to say hi and beat them up. Really, they want you to beat them up. They'll pay you to go out of your way to come visit them at home and beat them up.
Weird game sometimes...

This game has some of the best user interface options you'll ever experience in an MMO. You can practically use it as a benchmark.
The story content is good and much of it is voice acted by people who do the actual voices in the shows and movies.

That said... Do yourself a favor and spend the $5 on something getting to get a permanent account upgrade. The game is really hard to play if you don't.

One of the things that's really awesome about this game, at least as far as FTP MMOs are concerned, is that you can buy access to content and then you never lose it, even if your subscription runs out or if you never had one. Inventory slots are a great investment if you really want to buy something.
I also think it's great that they occasionally have offered lifetime subscriptions. They're expensive, but it's worth it if you plan on playing for two or more years. If you get a good team of friends to play with, there's a good chance of that happening.

The community is.... toxic, in general. The villain players are oddly enough more reputable as being civil than the hero side. Just treat it like any online interaction board. Focus on the content. There's a lot of content to keep players entertained.

Player interactions are very much forced. They never introduced features to allow soloing low level raids, but at least they introduced an auto-join feature to help.

I haven't played much since they reworked the combat system. I used to play with a friend who says they don't want to do it again because they're annoyed with the concept of having to learn how to play all over again (even though I told them it didn't change that much).

The times I have played in recent memory, I remember being bogged down with loot boxes and filler items that clog up my inventory but feel bad to destroy. It's frustrating having no inventory space to work with, so I log out for long stretches of time.

It's a truly beautiful game. Exploring the areas feels good and I highly recommend trying it out. Expect to spend money or suffer a severely hindered gaming experience though. Watch for sales. The DLC goes on sale a couple times a year. The past couple years they had Christmas sales.

Pretty good game! Not a visual novel; this is a 3D sandbox dating sim.
Looks like it's free because the main source of funding is Patreon which offers extra rewards, including DLC.The game is still in development.

Apart from the dating sim aspect, there's a wolf mount to zoom around on, bug hunting with a crossbow, spear fishing, and a goo blaster mini-game.

There actually is a compelling story, which progresses at a good pace. I'd like to hear more!
The characters and situations fit familiar cliches, which works well.
The size of the map and ease of movement is not annoying.
The music is soothing and subtle.

It reminds me of Slime Rancher.

And yes, graphic lewds. Though most of it is optional. I say most of it, because I'm not sure if I could have skipped what happened on the third day. May have to play through again to find out (my own fault for not making copious saves). Otherwise, there is some robot and monster nudity which doesn't have an optional censor.

One thing that was said, but not explained, is that Saiyu is the only vendor you can sell things to and she's located on the top floor above Renge's shop on the bottom floor.

If you want some fun, graphically lewd times, I suggest trying this game. Approach it from the stance that it's an alpha demo and you will not be disappointed.

Order up!
Cook Serve Delicious 2 is a command driven game. It tells you what to press and you press it as fast as you can.
That's really the most of it. Just follow the command recipes and complete the orders.
Despite having a really catchy bossa nova soundtrack, it's not a rhythm game, which is arguably better for it.

This is hyper casual. You can turn this game on, play for like 5 minutes and then turn it off again. You can play while waiting for other things. It's that chill. But it's also hectic enough that when you really get into it, you've got a 100+ order streak going and you don't know where the time went. I had CSD1 on my phone a while ago (this is also a mobile game) and I played through a 3 hours train ride and still wasn't bored!

I'm not so good with knowing where individual keyboard keys are, which is kind of important since wrong moves make wrong meals. The devs have implemented a calibration mode though, so you can set the keys to whatever you want. I opt to use the game pad. The game pad (xbox controller) made it so easy to pick up that my mother, who never plays console games, was able to start cranking out orders with very little explaining of how things worked. She recently had a hand injury and I thought the physical therapy of completing dexterous command lines would aid in her recovery.

So yeah, if you're looking for a hyper casual, fun little command entering game with a restaurant theme, Cook Serve Delicious 2 will be an excellent addition to your library.

It was exactly what it claimed to be: a loading screen simulator.
It even took it a step further and included achievements, a clicker game, a one player tennis game and end game gifs.
This game is worth every penny.

It's a quick hack and slash game. Great art. Somewhat challenging. Certainly worth trying out considering the price.
Would love if it would get polished up and expanded, but as it is it's playable.

ARK:SE is Gary's Mod with dinosaurs. Here are the dynamic features I've observed:
  • Character customization
  • Draining status bars in typical survival style
  • Skill points used for personal enhancements as well as tech tree progress
  • Harvestable auto-spawned resources
  • Auto spawned creatures
  • Creature AI
  • Creatures as tools
  • Interactive dial menus
  • A lateral tech tree laid out in typical Gary's Mod inventory fashion
  • Crafting recipes
  • Player initiated object placement and removal
  • Weapons, tools and kill mechanics
  • Choice of multiplayer and single player play

In short, if you love Gary's Mod and have been hungry for a dinosaur survival game, there's a good chance you'll love ARK:SE.

I personally never liked playing Gary's Mod, so I can't reccommend this game.

One does not play Life Is Strange: one explores it.

LIS is rich with content in what I would categorize as a slice of life sci-fi story.

From thought out relateable characters to emotionally taxing scenarios.
Throw in the rewind function not only to explore alternative choices but also as a functional game mechanic and this RPG becomes an emotional investment if you're not going to skim through it just to see what happens.
And if you are planning to skim it, then don't bother buying it. Just go to youtube and watch a playthrough.

I personally don't see much replay value to this unless a user wants to explore alternative paths and pick up achievements they may have missed their first time around.

My thumbs down comes from it not being a game I enjoyed. And if you're like me and having something to do is more important than story content; if making choices deters you; if you just don't get why some people revel in the mundane aspects of real life that suck so much; you might not like it either,

But the game itself is well made. It's a solid RPG with a complete (albeit mixed reviews regarding climax) story line. And for the amount of content it offers the price is reasonable.

I got the spanish pack with the Humble Bundle.
I've gotten to about 170 words so far. Pretty enjoyable pace. You have the option of hearing a word as well as reading, or you can disanle one and use the other.
The real game side of things is the ten question quiz, which has you going around via walking or flying a space ship toy and finding the objects it names (or another word attached to said object).

Having never taken a Spanish class the thing I found so surprising is that plenty of words are so similar!
The word for newspaper sounds like periodical. The word for spatula is espatula. The word for skateboard is skateboard, the word for CD is CD. The word for poster is poster. THE WORD FOR SANDWICH IS SANDWICH! It really blew my mind.
A window sounds like a vent (ventana). So many words that are easy to pick up because they sound similar. It's great!

If I had to make a complaint, it's that not all the audio recordings are very clear (MOST OF THEM ARE) so there's a few words where is feels like they started recording a quarter second too late: a V will sound like a B, an R will sound like a D.
Some suffer noise pollution: ruedecilla (stove knob) for example has an odd beep in front of it.

But on the whole, the game is worth getting. It's a pretty entertaining approach and I think I'll spend some more time on it.
