This game is polished and stylish. There's a lot of attention to small details, little hidden visual things, and beautiful animation; unfortunately the game is bland to the core. The gameplay boils down to linear fetch-quests and shallow hiding mechanics. There's even pointless quick time events while hiding. Mini-games are underwhelming, and opportunity (and reward) for exploration is minimal. The story is nothing really engaging or interesting either.
The game isn't scary either. Sound design is often loud and harsh, never giving a real chance for tension or uneasiness to build. A lot of the art is cool looking, but the style overall just lacks uncanniness, so once again the horror-atmosphere isn't established.
FNAF games stood out in the first place by having interesting gameplay loops alongside scary atmospheres.
This game functionally has neither.
25 CAD is way too high for this

It's the "CS:GO" of first person shooters.

I haven't played many fighting games outside of Smash Bros., so I don't have a super all encompassing frame of reference.
That being said, I really enjoy this game! It feels pretty fair and the skill curve is fun. I don't really play much of the world tour or other modes, just ranked, but I hear those are pretty fun too. Overall I'd recommend the game, but ONLY IF YOU INTEND ON PLAYING IT A LOT. The price tag is quite high for something you only intend to play casually.

*edit: I have no played the game for more hours. I was wrong initially.

This game is even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worse. This game sells your soul to south african sex traffickers. This game actively donates money to peta. This game enjoys salads hot and soup cold. This game deserves the chair.

I got this game in a bucket of random steam keys, and had low expectations for it. That being said I was pleasantly surprised, but not instantly. The start of the game is very slow, overcomplicated, and without direction. You don't really know what you're doing, where you're going, or why you're doing anything. On top of that, i'd say my biggest criticism of the game is the overly complicated character stat system, which even after the start of the game is confusing to use. But past all that, once you start getting the concept of the game and finding direction, it's actually a lot of fun. The resource collection system is pretty cool, and the quests in the game, while being a bit repetitive, are fun to complete regardless. Overall, fun game to grind out in a day, though there's little to no replayability value.

Early Access Review
I feel Risk of Rain 2 managed to nail every aspect of what made the first game fun, and expanded on it so that it was it's own unique interesting experience. I whole heartedly reccomend Risk of Rain 2.
That being said, the "ending" stage of this game was a huge letdown. Such a disspointment compared to the first game. I won't spoil anything but i'll just say that it felt super dull and empty. But yeah past that good game.
