Is CS:GO good for you?
CS GO is quite an complex game. Once you start playing it gets quite addictive. If you have good self control , and know how to play for fun , its actually exellent game. You work your way through as a team.

The downside is that the teammates that you will get will NOT be always nice. Most of them will be giant pain in the ass, swearing , yelling , playing loud music, team killing etc. if and when you’re trying to play seriously for a rankup.

If you have some close friends to play it with, then thats an exellent choice. Playing solo, i usually end up frustrated , annoyed and angry rather than happy. So it really depends on you.

One thing i would like to recommend is avoid excess playing. Its just too much. Keet good work and play balance. Only that way you get to have fun. :/

I actually think it extends beyond just entertainment and fun, I’ve gave a lot of thought to this and I actually think it can be really really good for you.

Consider this scenario, your in a clutch situation 1v3 on Dust2 in bombsite B, you just planted the bomb as terrorist and now your CT foes are on-route to your position, you have to make a series of complex decisions without hesitation in order to make the right moves to put you in a winning stance, this super fast prioritising of tasks is something that draws such focus it draws the persons very life force, and you’ll all know THE WRATH you give someone or someone gives you if interrupted in these hyper focused periods, that is because your so jacked in and we are literally using our minds in a way that they are not used to, this I believe is a good thing and I believe that if approached in a healthy way can be like a gym for the mind.

There is more evidence emerging regarding such topics, Jane McGonigal has a couple of Ted talks exploring many benefits of gaming in general not even mentioning a super-beast like CSGO, so if gaming is a gym for the mind, then CSGO in my opinion is like Strongman contest based on how difficult the game is.

She basically says what her belief is, in several decades as gaming becomes more popular and people partake in it more our very minds will stand to benefit, from all the complex mathematical problems we’re solving without even really realising it’s going to shape our very evolution and for the better.
