Omfg hurry up with the DLC to continue this epic! Huge fan of Space Marine 1, loved this campaign! Seriously dont understand why there isnt a TV series or several movies made on Warhammer. Hollywood pumps out Starship Troopers but missed the mark in never pushing out this as a series of movies!

Im at the Pyro boss at the time of this review with a max leveled Ajax, so haven’t opened all zones or end game. Its about 80%.

It's a free PVE game with convenience improving and vanity item items. There are no pay to win item that boost the power of your player over another.most vanity items can he earned through farming. Think Anthem with grappling hooks meets Warframe.

Its had problems at launch which is 100% normal for any game, but overall its definitely not worth the negative reviews people posted. A lot of peoples complaints are around people wanting to be first with something. There are only five items plus the battle pass and exp boosting items that you cannot earn through grinding. The game has run perfectly and smoothly for me at 4k. No crashes, no hitching.

What it does well:
- Gameplay is snappy, movement is fluid. The grappling hook function works well for traversing.
- Graphics and biomes are interesting and moving around the zones is quick and easy
- Class variety is pretty broad with lots of interesting classes to try. Whether people actually use them though as intended especially in their raids yet to be seen
- four player raids are challenging and some interesting mechanics with difficulty scaling for less players
- matchmaking system works well and players can drop in at anytime when you are completing open world quests to help
- crafting system is in depth (sometimes too complex!) which will lead to lots of interesting metas

Cons:
- gets a but same-y with the encounters: defending this, escort that, but because it moves fast and you’re moving through different biomes quickly its ok for now.
- the storyline and voice acting leaves a lot to be desired. Alpha and Jeremy in particular. The overall premise is good, just mired with some awkward, souless voice overs and bizarre dialogue choices.
- the grind and rng is pretty insane. You need to farm an augment item which is like a loot box, you then need to open the loot box which has rng for the item you are looking for.
- runs on Azure cloud, notoriously unstable hosting service.

Overall, I’m having fun and can see past some of the cringey parts. Theres room for improvement in the open world gameplay and missions. I doubt the dialogue and voice acting will be improved but its not really and issue - i put subtitles on and just skip through it.

Its free and its fun. I do pay for some items but I have no interest in dropping $100 to open an ultimate class skin sooner or $300 for a unique ultimate class skin just to look kew for some nerds. Nothing gives you a combat boost so I dont see the point. The $100 skin you can grind.

Early Access Review based on its POTENTIAL. Not here to complain about bugs and give it a negative rating.

Overall interesting concept and gameplay is fairly intuitive, but you do need to think and plan for your upgrades based around your starting team. If you have dopamine addiction issues and ADHD this game isnt for you. You need to think and manage your team yourself.

Yes the game has bugs; its in early access. The developer is responsive and working on them. Recommending it based on the current potential the game has and engagement with from the developer.

Reading thru some of the the recent reviews, if ur type of person who gives negative reviews because of bugs then I think you need to step away from buying early access games ;) Why discourage developers because of your own individual issues? Enable comments on your posts and see how you go xD

This is probably one of the most polished, fun from the get go (bit of a learning curve but that makes it more fun) titles released in 2023!

The polearm mechanics are a little confusing is about it, and the difficulty curve from Week 8 is big! Get a good weapon early on!

Game of the Year for sure!
