I loved the first Frostpunk.

I don't think I like Frostpunk 2. It expanded on the idea and concept, but I think the formula has dramatically changed that it is now a completely different game from the first. If you're a Frostpunk 1 player I highly suggest you borrow it from a friend before deciding to buy.

Personally I wouldn't recommend.

Make sure you have lots of time to waste before installing

Vigor is important

The replayability sucks for a multi-choice game, but I've enjoyed my one (and possibly only) playthrough. 8/10

Please consider your real-life responsibilities before buying this game.

It is a game made with love, I'll say that. Even though I feel like the writing and gameplay balancing can be quite lacking a lot of times, it's still an enjoyable ride (though I struggle to suspend my disbelief often).

Good: Music, art, core idea, main story
Bad: Character balancing, enemy gimmick readability, character writing

Updated my thumb down from last year:

What game is this?
- Chaotic co-op objective-based shooter
- Best played with friends
- Can test your friendship with higher difficulty

What changed from last year?
- Balance is going the 'fun' way instead of the ill-defined 'military realism'
- Region lock is now sorta relaxed? It's still not all the countries locked out since PSN controversy but it's a positive sign.
