Make all the playable characters open and unlocked with a pure-cosmetic monetization without any FOMO the INDUSTRY STANDARD
As someone who have read comicbooks from a wee-lad to an almost 30 adult I do love this non-grindy aspect of the Game. I do not have to sink in my money or my hours into a game which I may not play after a year seems pretty predatory to me. Now there are many fun aspects and some aspects which are bad that I would love to address.
Good Points
  1. Monetization practices are non-predatory
  2. No FOMO aspect have been implemented in the game.
  3. Simple and easy to understand game mechanic.
  4. Fun and colourful game art design.
Bad Aspects
  1. Ill-optimization
  2. No support for Linux / Steam Deck OS. Game fails to run under proton and have no native support. Companies are adding Linux support to their games so I guess NetEase should allow Proton Translation layer or even Native Linux support.
  3. Random Frame drops
  4. Memory Leak causing Game Craashes.

The review in one line: "Amazing fighting mechanics and bosses but the exploration & base-building part is lacking."

Alright, so if you’re like me and you’ve played games like Hades for combat or Rust for base-building, you might go into V Rising with some high expectations. The thing is, while it borrows a bit from both, it doesn’t quite nail either aspect as well as you’d hope. I've played this game for around a Day's worth of time during a long weekend and my gameplay was restricted at that time.

Let’s talk combat first. Honestly, this is where the game shines. The fighting mechanics are top-notch, no question. The variety of abilities you can unlock and the way each boss fight feels unique really kept me hooked. If you love fast-paced, tactical battles where you can mix and match abilities, you're going to love this part. Every boss encounter had me thinking on my feet and felt like a rewarding challenge.

But then, there’s the other side of the game: base-building. Early on, it’s fun. You get to build your vampire castle, customize it, and it’s a cool feature. But the deeper you go into the game, the more it starts to feel like a grind. Late-game upgrades take forever, and unless you have a ton of time to sink into gathering resources or waiting for things to craft, it becomes more of a chore than something fun. As someone who doesn’t have hours to grind every day, I found this part pretty frustrating.

The exploration doesn’t help much either. Sure, discovering new locations and resources at first is exciting, but after a while, the world just feels a little empty. There’s not a ton of incentive to explore beyond what you need for crafting, and that’s a shame because the world could’ve had a lot more depth. You start to realize it’s mostly just resource runs instead of discovering something truly interesting or new.

One thing that might sway you is if you’re into multiplayer survival games. The game clearly leans more towards a multiplayer experience, so if you’re playing with friends or in a group, the grind might not feel as heavy. But if you’re planning to play solo? Be prepared for some frustrating moments. Raids and resource gathering become a lot tougher, and the game doesn’t feel balanced for lone players.

Concluding, This game has some fantastic combat and boss fights that make it worth checking out, but if you’re not into grinding or are looking for a richer world to explore, it might let you down in the long run. If you’ve got the time or a solid group to play with, you’ll probably enjoy it a lot more. But if you're more of a casual player like me, the grind might wear you out before you really hit your stride.

I would suggest adding this game into your library if you have got the money but I would not recommend this game. Maybe that money would go into the devs on developing the games I've pointed out.

I think I should compare how this DLC compare to some of my most favourite RPG games.

The Elder Scrolls 5 : Skyrim - Dawnguard : I fought for the Vampire Hunters.
The Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt - Blood & Wine : I fought for the Dutchy of Toussaint.
Cyberpunk 2077 - Phantom Liberty : I fought for the NUSA.
Shadow of Erdtree : I am fighting for my f##king life here!.
