Fantastic game. Starts out a bit slow, but it gets its hooks in DEEP around the first major chapter. There was another reviewer on here that said something like "I can't rate the game a number, it's an experience. You have to experience it" - And I am paraphrasing, but that is the review that got me to buy the game. And sure enough, that user was absolutely right.

Great story, great sound, fun combat, great maps, interesting puzzles, emotional stories, and a few 'oh sh!t" moments that made me jump and laugh at the same time. And the mirror mechanic is just fantastic.

It's a definite buy, no doubt about it. Don't even think twice. Steam has a 2 hour return policy - you have nothing to lose.

10 hours in, and I am hooked. What a blast!

Fantastic single player experience. I haven't tried the MP at all, and have no plans too - But I hear that is great as well.

I nominated this game for GOTY. This is one of my favorite titles of all time. I loved the story, I loved the characters, I loved the visuals, the atmospheric sound was nuts. It is so gloomy and so forboding, I haven't seen another game capture it this well. It's really a shame they won't be making a sequel.

9/10 in my book, simply because a 10 doesn't exist.

Flat out one of the best stories ever told in gaming. I cannot say enough about it. The sound design is exceptional as well. I got this game on sale, and seriously - This is the only game I have ever played that I feel I should have paid *more* for the experience.

Man, I absolutely love this game. Everyday things we have in our yard take on a whole new meaning when you are reduced down to such a small size. To think I love spiders IRL, I run like hell from them in this game.

For an early access title, this game runs and looks great on my system, which is an older one. (About 4 years old on avg, hardware)

Characters are likeable so far as well, I haven't noticed any glaring issues with animations or sound effects. But it may be too early to tell.

Crafting is OK, and I still really do not have the hang of lining up walls. I also feel the inventory system will need polishing.

BURG-L is awesome too! His lines crack me up. I still wish it was Failsafe's voice tho from Destiny 2 ;(

Overall, early access notwithstanding, I give this game a solid 7/10, and it seems it will only get better.

From a pure shooter standpoint, the game is fantastic.

Pros:
It looks great and plays great (so far).
Stealth mechanic is simple and fun too.
Gun selection is limited, but I like all the guns I have. Upgrade system is fine.
Level design is fantastic, so far.

The Color palette is a bit drab. I have some difficulty finding items even when they are right in front of me. And blinking! It's just - A lot of the time everything feels washed out.

Now my main gripe with this otherwise fantastic title:

From a plot standpoint? I have a *much* different opinion. I got completely fed up with the awkwardly forced SJW narrative in this game after about 2 hours, it is pervasive. I just gave up caring about the plot. I audibly laughed at "Now come and get it, you white fascists!" but truly that is only one of many absolute gems to be found. The game rapidly devolves into a bizarre story about how the Nazi conquest of North America is a #BLM issue. This is unintentionally hilarious to me. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't feel so forced, and it made me cringe way more than it made me think.

Whatever. It does play good. But I won't recommend this game for the plot alone.

Totally recommend this one. Especially for the price. Atmosphere was great, better than most spooky games I have played. The ambient sounds are incredible, and really do make you nervous. There is a feeling of tension in this game that is extremely cool. Played it with wife and she *hates* scary things, even SHE loved it.

At any rate, for the price it is a strong recommend from me. I will likely play the rest of his games after playing this one.

Yep, after 15 hours I gotta give this game a *strong* recommend, despite what flaws it has.

Pros:

1) Runs great on older hardware. I have an I7 6700, about 4 years old. I have an older 980TI for vid, and 32GB or RAM. Game runs well at 3440 X 1440.

2) Visually, the game is just gorgeous. Reminds me a *lot* of Dishonored, the art style anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some ex-Bethesda people on this title.

3) Character progression is gratifying and makes a lot of sense. It's easy to grasp and there are real benefits that come over time.

4) The level design is excellent.

5) I haven't noticed *any* poor latency in MP games. This shocks me.

♥♥♥♥:

1) This one is BIG. No text chat in multiplayer. For what reason I have no idea, it was a *glaring* oversight on the part of the devs. There had to be a reason. It really hampers communication - Basically eliminates it minus the emotes - When you cannot use a mic. Which brings me to my next point:

2) The in-game voice leaves a lot to be desired. I have experienced echoes, and dropped comms halfway through peoples sentences. Unsure if this is always on their end, or if this is something game-related tbf. I strongly suspect it is game-related, but who really knows.

That's my .02. I don't know how many hours I will get out of this game, but at 15 hours in it is already worth the price to me.

I love it. It's intense. Need to actually function as a team or you will just die repeatedly.
