Alright you democracy loving bastards, WE NEED MORE SOLDIERS ON THE AUTOMATON FRONT!!! PLEASE REINFORCE US, WE'RE ALL [redacted by the order of the Super Earth Ministry of truth. There are no issues with the Automaton front. Everything is fine. Continue with your day citizen.]

That was my original review for context. Wanted to be funny because this was when there was no signs of meddling or major issues beyond Discord drama with the community managers.

Times are different now.

To be clear the recent change enforced on arrowhead by Sony is unethical and shoots plenty of the goodwill that Arrowhead has build in the foot for short term profit growth based off of selling user data via PSN, and a middle manager's promotion.

Remember when people were talking about helldivers 2 in the same way as the old times of the early 2010's? With no unethical pricing, simple dumb fun, and you get what you paid for without any secondary monetisation to ruin the feel of the game?

Welcome back to the modern gaming experience.

Did you enjoy your break?

---------------------------------------

Literally the day after I do the above, SONY reverses the decision. DON'T DO IT AGAIN.

What the ♥♥♥♥ did you just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ say about me, you Independent Merc ♥♥♥♥♥? I'll have you know I fought Michigan and lived, and I've been involved in bombing numerous Rubicon Liberation Front orphanages, and I have over 30,000 confirmed kills. I am trained in AC warfare and I'm the top pilot in the Red Guns. You are nothing to me but just another Independent Mercenary DOG. I will wipe the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ floor with your wreck of an AC with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on Rubicon, mark my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ words. You think you can get away with scrapping my AC three times?! Think again, ♥♥♥♥♥♥. As we speak I am contacting a secret network of assassins across Rubicon and your AC is being traced right now, so you better prepare for the storm, DOG. The coral storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with a HG-003 COQUILLETT. Not only am I extensively trained in asymmetrical warfare, but I have access to (some of) the arsenal of 大豊核心工業®™© and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the Central Ice Field, you little ♥♥♥♥. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your "meta" combat builds are about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have ran like the dog you ARE. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now it's time to pay the piper, you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot. I will ♥♥♥♥ plasma fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dead, MERC.

Jokes aside, love the game, haven't been drawn by a game like this since Signalis.

Well this is a fun game. Same as the last game but applys the nemesis system to your allies as well.
Unfortunately the game is WAY TOO EASY. Says the person playing on nemesis difficulty (hard mode).

The nemesis system only really shines when the player is challenged and repeatedly dies to an ork, creating an actual nemesis. The start of the game had a good thing going for it, you're weak, you die easy, and that leads to good encounters and rivalries (e.g. I kept diying to this berserker, killed him eventually by cutting him in half, then he came back as prak the machine).

But here's when the problem starts. I got better at the game, and the game became easy as a result.
One of the abilities is a counter, and if you time it well, it kills grunts instantly. One of the abilities lets you stealth kill an entire room full of orks. One of them lets you teleport to an ork, kill him, then lets you kill all the others like the last one.

The player was upgraded in this game, but the orks (in general, not captains) stayed the same as the last game. There's no counter for your abilities, and most captains go down with ease, meaning less opertunities for the nemesis system to shine, because none of the orks can do anything to you.

I implore you monolith, if there isn't an Uber-Hard mode in the game, MAKE ONE.
I don't mean make orks do more damage and lower player damage resistance, I mean INCREASE ork intelligence, INCREASE the number of rsistances captains have, INCREASE the chance players can be ambushed, ADD COUNTERS TO PLAYER ABILITIES (e.g. make a "Curse Beacon" that disables your abilities until you destroy it by smashing it, not shooting it), and like the last game, HAVE CAPTIANS GAIN NEW RESISTANCES WHEN THEY LEVEL UP.

As for the story, who cares, you're here for the nemesis system anyways.

This game just made my computer's power supply blow up. Like sparks and ♥♥♥♥. It's making the most foul smell in the world, and I don't know if I'll need to buy a new power supply, or if it was even the power supply that blew up.

I'm pretty certain an imp threw a fireball at me when it happened.

10/10, 2 demonic 4 me.

This game... And what a game it is.

>>AGENT: Ellis
>>CLEARANCE: Yellow
>>LIVE MISSIONS: 1

>>START REVIEW:

Have you ever looked into the history of games, and stumbled upon something called " ilovebees.com "?

It was part of a promotional campaign for Halo 2, that appeared for 2 seconds In one of its ads for E3 (or something like E3) that lead people to investigate details about the site, eventually finding coordinates to payphones around america, and a time for each payphone.

Everyone appeared on time to each and every payphone on time, despite one of them being in the middle of a hurricaine at the time.

That, was one of the first ARG's, and is probably the most famous one to have existed.

An "ARG" is an "Alternate Reality Game". And ARG's usually involve investigating websites, history, places, and cryptology to gain details on a fictional story.

Baisically Larping for the digital age.

However, the difference between standard ARG's and The Black Watchmen, is that ARG's are normally used for promoting a product, and they usually end at some point.

While the former is certainly the case (TBW is part of The Secret World MMORPG's lore), This game's selling point it that its missions don't go away after the ARG is over, but as far as I know (S1 Mission 16), these missions don't involve anything in the real world, and you don't need to go anywhere.

In Live missions on the other hand, you need to interact with the community via irc chats and their forum to solve specific events (e.g. Using google to Hunt down 5 german buisnessmen for sleeper agents to assasinate, because they know too much), and do tasks in the real world that're related to the event.

However, you can also choose how involved you are with the game's world by choosing what clearance you want to be.

>>RED CLEARANCE: Nothing irl will happen to you. You can play the game through the client and interact with the community, and that's about it.

>>ORANGE CLEARANCE: You may get phone calls by providing your telephone number.

>>YELLOW CLEARANCE: You may get phone calls and packages, and you may have to interact with actors playing a specific role.

>>GREEN CLEARANCE: The most known amount you can get involved. You have to be voted for it, and supply a medical exam for this. Missions will involve you, and they may take more than a day to finish.

>>BLACK CLEARANCE: This has been hung over our heads for a while. We don't know what it is.

In conclusion, I'd reccomend this game, as it has some very interesting puzzles based around finding codes based around books, the bible, and historical figures, which might end in you learning about something interesting.

If you have any form of paranoia, I'd STRONGLY suggest researching this game, or asking someone that knows about this game if it's suitable for you.
