Its been awhile...

Armored Core is back and better than ever, Fires of Rubicon is nothing short of a masterpiece in multiple areas. The story and cut scenes alone this time around have been the best from the series, they throw you into the fire with your first boss right out the gate. Mixing this first trauma battle with an epic music score that continues throughout the rest of the game (turn music on 100% // SFX on 50% // Voice on 60%, you'll thank me).

The game will have you likely cursing, laughing, on the edge of frustration, and lastly satisfied by the time you finish your first play-through ending. From an outside perspective some might even think you're mad, that is until they look at the screen of you dodging an endless barrage of missiles, energy beams, and explosives while attempting to ruthlessly kill your enemies.

I'm now working on S rank completing everything (this is my final song) and I'm still enjoying the game, so with that being said it pays respects to the original games of this series while adding quality of life improvements like mech swapping mid mission if you die. It may not be the game for everyone but its well worth its cost with nothing hid behind micro-transactions.
