I was very hesitant to get this game at first because one of the best parts of the original games was being plunged into an environment where you were completely on your own with no way to defend yourself from the horrors that lurked just out of view. I waited a while to get it so I didn't have to pay full price because I fully expected it to let me down like Fallout 76 and Far Cry: New Dawn, but I'm completely satisfied with this game and the story it's telling. Yeah, vaulting over stuff still sucks, but I'm not a jumpy person, especially when it comes to horror stuff since I expect the scares, but this game forces you to lock in and the scares have made my whole body jolt on multiple occasions. If you can't handle graphic violence, nudity, graphic sexual content, or religious imagery, this is NOT THE GAME FOR YOU, but I love it so much and have enjoyed replaying Vindicate The Guilty.
