There is no game more perfect than The Witcher 3 in my mind.

If you can bother to play all 3 games as a trilogy, I encourage it. Witcher 1 can be a little difficult to stomach 15 years later, but the Witcher 2 still holds up nicely.

I'm going into what is likely my third, and last, playthrough now and its almost sad. This game is so compelling and beautiful that I feel like I'm putting down a good book that I know I won't read again.

If you enjoy fantasy or open-world RPGs, you should absolutely have this game. If you enjoy both, then you're probably reading this with at least 100h playtime yourself.

Having just completed a Long Conquest & Fame victory on Very Hard as Strat Clut (Very Hard innate difficulty) post Blood, Sweat & Spears and a previous campaign as Wessex (Hard difficulty, innate Easy) I'm pretty happy to suggest this is a pretty bland experience for long-time Total War players. People complain about rebellion and civil war; just learn to manage your characters -- I've had to deal with maybe 2 Civil Wars for the entirety of my Strat Clut campaign. It is a bit of an Attila reskin, but post-update there are some decent, new functions for maintaining a "balance" in your kingdom (food, alliegance, etc.)

Verdict: new players should like this, Total War die hards may find it same-y.

Come back to it every now and again for something different. Not Digital Crack/10.
