This game is a great metriodvania that leans heavier on the RPG end of the spectrum. The progression is fun and the gameplay loop is rewarding. Killing mobs to level up and find materials to craft new weapons and armor, which you're then encouraged to use because leveling them up grants you new skills and passives that you can add to your build. 5/5!

Great Larian version of a DnD game.

Pros:
Characters and NPCs have been great, the quests and the world building as well. non of those nonsense fetch 10 of these type missions. There's always a sense that something is happening, and the motivations of NPCs are believeable.

The battles have all been pretty amazing, allowing players to be creative and interact with the environment for different ways of success. You can tell that the team put a lot thought into designing the environments.

Graphics is great.

cons:

- 128 gb of space required. Eats up a lot of precious space on your handheld
- the game systems aren't really explained very well, it's not a problem for players of actual dnd, but sometimes things like advantage/disadvantage aren't well explained in game.
- class progression isn't very clear since you can't see what you'll be unlocking in game, or have a clearer picture of what abilities a class/subclass will have later.

Pros:
- Fun flexible variety of builds, only just barely scratched the endgame so I'm not sure whether all the builds are equally viable. Ultimately, you seem to be able to use any weapon/skill on any character
- The gameplay loop is enjoyable and easy to get into.
- The loot is pretty great, nice mixture of unique loot which feeds the first point of flexible variety of builds. Exciting to find loot, the crafting process seems like a viable way to help ease of the rng usually found in looter arpgs.
- There doesn't seem to be any visible cap on the amount of loot one can acquire, nor is there a way to purchase said loot with real life money, or boost the rate of acquisition with money (though there seems to be 1 particular pet that can increase some specific material drop)
- While there are in game purchases to be made, for me I almost never felt pressure to purchase anything, though I did purchase the pass after a few days mainly because I thought the devs deserved some of that money, not because there was something I really wanted.

Cons:
- no multiplayer at the moment
- UI & inventory management is horrible, it's clearly made for mobile and not optimised for PC, there's no way to shift items around in your inventory aside from pressing an auto sort function, with no ability to choose how you want to sort your inventory. You can't drag and drop items or even shift a single object in your inventory to another slot.
- Ultrawide is "supported" but vertical fov is not an option, so virtually unplayable in ultrawide, the top and bottom of the screen is just chopped off and the character is just very zoomed in
- While there isn't a cap on loot (weapons/armor etc.), you can gain some power from the purchase of pets, really wish it wasn't so. That being said, I didn't exactly feel crippled by my lack of pets (the blue and purple pets could still function and gave good relevant buffs). Though I did reroll my main character to match the pity legendary pet that was given to me after my first 30 pulls. Perhaps I'll change my mind if I ever find a good legendary pet?
- The rate of repetable material drop to gatcha out the pets is too low, if they gave you 1 to 2 pulls as an F2P that'll make it nicer.
- The volume always reverts to max when you start up the game.

This game is simple to pick up and always fun to jump into for a quick, satisfying game session. The action/shooting is satisfying, the varying playstyles and builds are relatively wide and varied and the developers have been consistent in putting out extra free content. Definitely worth picking up.

The game has some creative ideas. but the execution is pretty bad.

The game is still terribly buggy even after so long. The all game sounds cuts out after awhile when playing. Crashes still happen frequently enough for it to be an issue (You'll need to run 3 maps in a row and complete mission to get the reward, but if you crash before then, you don't get the expedition reward). I can crash or find myself in a situation where nothing but a client restart can make the game playable for me about 2 - 3 times a game session.

There are many other weird bugs happening as well, cosmetic rewards aren't staying in your inventory. You can put yourself in situations where the UI stays on the screen but you can't do anything except restart the game in order to continue.

Bugs are frustrating. Nice that they put out a free big update but the game's still very frustrating to play.

Surprisingly the game has been quite enjoyable. I wasn't expecting much from it but it's been a blast since I've fired the game up from the beginning. The combat is fun, fighting/parrying is satisfying, there seems to be some possibility for builds etc. The game is challenging at first but gets easier after a few deaths etc.

Kind of a weird take on the rogue like genre. Being able to plan your death and drop your items down a chute for your next play through can sometimes make it relatively repetitive. Falling into holes is instadeath.

Still quite a lot of gameplay for it's low price. definitely recommended if you're a fan of the genre

The game itself is somewhat enjoyable. The builds are varied and flexible. The gameplay itself is pretty challenging and satisfying.

However, this feels like a pretty lazy PC port. The mouse isn't well utilized, I could use a controller but I'd really rather not. There isn't really an option to use the mouse to control the direction of your swings and strafing is irritiating.

There is also no ultra wide screen support for the game.

Aside from the other complaints, the inability to play multiplayer is the main reason why this game isn't recommended for me. It's frustrating trying to get a group together to play, only to have every player D/C from the match with no way to rejoin the party.
