An awesomely hard game with the potential for god-runs with a banger of a soundtrack.
As I've heard someone say it: "It might seem like a chaotic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the screen right now, but that is just because it is"

A beautiful game with one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. Totally worth the mony, and even a little more.

Summary:

This game is broken, horribly, or in alpha 0.0.0.0.0.0.1

It definitly has the potential to be a good time-killer, but the "game" needs some (buttloads) of polishing before I can truthfully say that.

The game is about an archer (?) running around in a "maze" of cells. Each cell has 4 gates, up, down, left and right, and each cell leads to another cell, with another 4 gates. Each gate is either open or closed. You run around in the maze, trying to rescue a girl, collect treasurechests, arrows and invisibillity potions. While you are running around, the state of the gates randomizes every few seconds, and some dogs are chasing you (why, exactly?).

You move with WASD, and can click on cells with the left and right mousebutton.

How the gates works was explained in a great way by apocalyptech:

How that relates to the game is that when you click on a "room," it compares the room you clicked on with the one your character's currently in. It'll then apply the XOR operator to the states of the four doors surrounding both rooms. Effectively, it means that if you want to move left, and your current room has a closed door to the left, you'd look for another room *without* that door open, click on it, and the door in your current room will change.

That's further complicated by the fact that there's an inner and outer set of doors, which you can change with left-mouse and right-mouse respectively.

All in all, this game lacks a lot, including play testing. In my opinion, a menu screen is maybe not necessary, but then a pause screen with options, controls and an exit button should be added.

I would also like to see options to turn off the dogs and/or the rendomization of the gates, and maaybe an option to alter the speed of the gates.

Now, as I have said, this has the potential to be a great time-killer, but before that is a fact, it needs a lot of work before you can call this a full "game".

Also, I found documentation on the controls "within the game": In a readme file in the core files. HOW MANY ARE GOING TO LOOK FOR THEM THERE?

Pros and Cons

PROS:
  • Loads quickly
  • Takes up little space

  • IT CRAHES!
  • Bad score-counter
  • No variation in soundtrack
  • No explanation of what|s going on
  • No options
  • No menu
