i have 31 hours in this game, because in 2018 i was addicted to it and now im not soo ooga booga ooga booga

Update: I've played an Additional 200+ hours since my initial review. From 2021-Now. And boy has my perspective changed on this game.

It's good just find your group of people. and You'll probably never leave :3.

Update 2: It is December 16th, 2025. I have 2,502 hours on this game now.

How did I even get here?

Usually it starts with the dread of getting back on this game sitting in front of my desk with my FBT trackers on.

Once everything plugged in and communicating with each other I check VRCX to see if anyone I fw is online.

(This is usually hit or miss.)

I developed a love/hate relationship with this game. Because I started playing it during a more intense period of my life when I still used it as a means to escape. Now after much of that I see this game as another internet highway where you can meet anyone, from any walks of life, with varying levels of intelligence.

To make a whole lotta yap much shorter: A lot of things happening in VRChat remain unseen. I've played 2.5k hours and still feel like I only scraped the surface. It's like a constant human experiment of LSD SIMULATOR. You put the headset on and you're bound to be questioning your life and throwing your headset on your bed until it ropes you back in.
