been playing this game since early 2013 if you are a huge tolkien/lord of the rings fan i definitely recommend playing. the quests are fun and the community is mostly friendly and there are almost always people looking for groups to run end game content and dungeons (they are called instances in this game).

SSG has turned it into a pay to win game and i absolutely despise that and i miss Turbine immensely but ive sunk over 3000 hours into this game over the years and it holds a special place in my heart so i may be biased. paying for VIP ($14.99/month or less if you pay in advance i.e. $30 for 3 months etc) is 210% worth it though as it unlocks quests in most areas. there is an endless amount of content to play and character customization has grown over the years with more classes and races added. SSG definitely took some creative liberty with some of the new quest chains (Mordor and forward) but overall i think its a good game and everyone who likes these types of games or like this genre should play it at least one to level 50.
