Simple and good.

The company behind SBB has been acquired by a crypto company and they are now looking into potentially implementing blockchain...something into the game. While they say they have no requirement to implement anything if they can't figure out a way to make it "ethical/player-friendly/gameplay-first", all that means is best case scenario is that a lot of dev time is wasted on garbage instead of spent on actually good things. I am holding out for now but the instant anything crypto or blockchain related gets implemented I am dropping the game for good. As it is, I won't be spending any money until they confirm that they've dropped exploring crypto nonsense.

Been playing for a couple hours each day since I saw this game on Rhapsody's channel. Or at least that's what I thought and I just now realized I've put 16 hours into the game over the last 3ish days, which speaks to how much I like the game.

Edit again: They've released a series of NFTs. I'm out.

I've been having a blast and while I'm still pretty bad at the game and thus can't really speak accurately about game balance it does seem as though there are a wide variety of builds that are viable to attempt to go for, and I haven't noticed any hero that I've felt is significantly stronger than most of the others. I will say that some of the heroes are significantly more interesting than others and have a bigger hand in your overall build (compare Krampus or Mrs. Claus, who provide evil or good characters +1/+1 to something like Evella who makes your evil characters stronger each time an animal dies or Wonder Waddle who makes it easier to upgrade low tier animals), though having a few very simple characters isn't necessarily bad.

Edit: After having played for another few hundred hours and having participated in a few tournaments I still heartily recommend the game.

Watch out for gunsnakes.

10/10 would recruit good boys again

While there are a lot of things that Warframe does wrong (Riven Mods which are pure RNG and grind incarnate, same with Kuva weapons) it's still a fairly decent F2P shootery thing. It's entirely possible to get everything in the game without having to pay real money, although that would take a lot of grinding.
