It's just another generic zombie survival game with a melee focus, kinda like Dead Island meets Mirrors Edge. Dead Island had better combat, this one has a better parkour movement system, something akin to Mirrors Edge.
Graphics are okay, they're nothing too great but they aren't complete ass either.
Little weapon variety, most of your weapons will be melee and the game discourages the use of firearms.

The game has some technical problems and a tendency to crash.
Most of the characters are varying degrees of annoying.
Sometimes the zombies manage to pull off some really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grabs, like grabbing you when you're above them, warping you next to them and such ♥♥♥♥.
The higher difficulties are mostly just artificial "You do less, we do more damage" stuff which turns combat into a chore. THe most effective way to take down zombies on higher difficulties is by sliding into them, vaulting them and kicking them off high places or into the gratiously placed spike traps littered around the map. No point in wasting time and weapons by attacking them normally. Once you level up enough, you get the takedown skill which allows you to execute zombies instantly, this turns the boring combat into a complete joke as you can just snap through everyones necks.

It's playable with co-op, but extremely tedious and boring alone, just like Dead Island was.
Worth about 5 to 10 bucks, wouldn't spend anything above 20 on this one though.

A dumb, very arcade like tank action game. COntrols are a bit wobbly, UI is a bit wobbly, weverything is kinda awkward but it's still some good fun to goof around with.

No one can hear you scream indeed, as you most probably will time out 9/10 times and lose connection. THe universe is a very harsh place indeed.

Even here, Yamato is a cutie.

On another note, for some reason the game starts to lag like crazy the further you advance in it. Might also be due to the number of BOATS I send in the battles, but that's also a sign of rather sloppy optimization.
No, don't even try to blame my toaster on that one, this machine has a grill function too, for both sides. Also has an i7 3770K and an Asus GTX 770 OC, so the ambient heat should be enough to use it as an oven to boot. ♥♥♥♥, it actually is more of a fireplace than a toaster but that is besides the point.

Even so, I've been looking for something like World of Warships but single player and with free roam. While Victory At Sea isn't exactly that, it's the next best thing.
It's a semi free roam naval action game, semi free roam being that you pick a scenario and are thrown into it and given pretty much free reign in what you want to do, as long as what you do is making the other sides lose.
You get credits and EXP for killing other BOATS that you use to unlock and purchase even bigger BOATS to fight other bigger BOATS.

Port fights are a mixed bag, they can get quite hektik as you'll get raped six days till sunday by CV's if going in dry. You can either bring in your own CV's and duke it out or you can cheese it, wait for the night, send in a full fleet of Yamato class and pretty much decimate everything.
This is also a sign of poor game balance.

The lack of our glorious goddesses of pagoda mast, Fusou class battleships, is also a great minus. THankfully the game has mod support and there is already a mod that adds a BOATLOAD of new BOATS, so it's all cool.

Edit from my earlier review which was quite harsh really.
I'll go into the problems first.

1. You can not remap controller buttons, meaning light attack is from the Xbox controller bumpers, which is stupid.
2. You NEED fan made hacks/fixes to make the game playable. 30fps is not playable by any lenght.
3. If you have more than one, say a wheel and a joystick connected, turn your PC off and UNPLUG EVERYTHING ELSE EXCEPT THE XBOX CONTROLLER and start the PC again.

Only two major flaws and at least the other one can be fixed by fan amde patches.
It's still a vary badly madePC port, but it's playable at least.

As a game it's quite "fun", there's some real challenge mixed in with some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moves.

I suggest you immeadiately get DSfix and that multiplayer fix as no one uses the steam multiplayer, game originally ran off GFWL, but that ♥♥♥♥ is deader than Kennedy is.

Early Access Review
Now this is what WipEout fans really wanted, this is pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ art.
It's like the good old PS1 WipEout games, right down to the PS1 esque stretching/morphing textures and blocky graphics, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love it. If you loved the old PS1 classics, there's literally nothing here that you will hate, it's pretty much perfect.

Buggy it may be, but updates come out like daily and it's free of all the things. "Big name" producresrs should take some lessons here, this is how you keep the community happy with an early access game.

This game is hilarious, like really really hilarious. It's kinda like those helicopter sections from Ace Combat Assault Horizon, but without the setpieces, scripted events and fancy missile dodges.
You control a Mi-24 Hind gunship, one of the meanest sight anyone could ever see in their airspace.
You control your war chariot either with keyboard and mouse which I haven't used or a 360/Xbone pad which works surprisingly well and the controls, even on pilot setting, are extremely easy to master and effective. You'll be doing sideways strafing runs on opfor camps like nobodys bussines.

The game, being in early alpha, is a bit prone to crash here and there. I noticed that if you enable steam overlay while the game is loading, it gets stuck once the game reaches the "press any button to continue" part, meaning you have to forcibly turn off the game from the task manager.
There are also a bit of bugs, nothing too major though. For example, if you run out of ammo for a weapon like a gunpod for example, and hold the trigger down, the screen contiues to shake like it was firing.
All the enemies look like WWII Americans. This is not a bug really, maybe either a developer oversight, a place holder or we actually are fighing evil imperialistic Americans trying to invade the motherland.

The game is loads of fun though, raining down death and hatred from your unstoppable war chariot.

For the current price of 16 or so dollaridoos, this game was worth it in my opinion if you want some light helicoter combat simulator action without going too techincal or too arcadey, a perfect balance of both. It is kinda short thought, like you can play though the campaign in a hour or two short. There is instant action to keep you occupied too, but at 16 bucks you could ask for a bit more than 2 hours.

Now go forth and become MArs, Mara, Izanami, Hel or whatever for you are become death, the destroyer of worlds.

Yamato best warship of WWII guns strong like the will and determination of the Japanese people
Ohka best anti ship weapon of WWII, protecting the Japanese mainland from filthy Americans
Zero best turnfighter of WWII, wings folded over a thousand times and sharp like katana, can cut through swarms of B17's and other imperialistic planes.
Grory to the nippon empire, tenno heika banzai, go home filthy gaijin scum.

DLC is unavailable at this point as GFWL is dead, so no more Super Yamato
