Great style, great voice acting. Unfortunately has some immersion-breaking writing in the demo (spoilers):

- As the wizard, you can threaten to curse Steve. However when Steve proceeds, you have no option to back up your threat, as if you never said it. Instead, you attack Steve with a Henchman.
- In the first real combat encounter, there is no option to let Steve continue to lose the game over and over. A classic RPG would definitely do this until the player tried something different. However the game's "CPU" tells you, "Steve is just going to attack over and over." There are a few problems with this:
1. As a player roleplaying a video game's AI, I definitely would want to prevent Steve from advancing. Why can't I do this.
2. How does the "CPU" know what Steve is going to do?

I stopped playing it at this point. Great idea; the shopkeeper encounter was hilarous. I hope they can work on the writing for the full release!

Reminds me of the Zelda puzzles in the Oracles games, mixed with Chip's Challenge. Plus the story is so cute!

Pretty zen game that's also punishing if you make a mistake. I think it's an addictive combination and very enjoyable.

A beautiful and fantastic game; it really feels like two games in one - the rites game and the overarching quest. It's a little weird, but like mustard on fritos, it might be your new favorite.

Game has one major flaw which is the space battles start feeling like a grind. I have about 10 hours in the game, and I find myself wishing the aliens would stop attacking so I can spend less time in the battles. It is kind of the same space battle over and over again, with not that many ways of changing up your loadout to synergize your powers better.

Despite that flaw, it has nice station management, character upgrading, writing, graphics, all in all 7/10! Definitely scratched an itch for a fun space game.

This is a beautiful game -- the sound and water mechanics make it feel like escaping into another world. One highlight of the atmosphere: there is a singing mechanic that lets you activate power ups, but with the beautiful soundtrack, sometimes I use it just to sing along.
