My answer is both yes and no for recommending Astride.

At this point in time I would say if you're looking for a game that's more than a horse creator and 1 show jumping course during a pre-alpha game stage of development. I would hold off. The fundamentals are in place for a great horse game, however, if you're looking for more features that are promised/planned, then I would 100% wait.

If you want to be apart of the game's development during all the game stages from pre-alpha and be apart of the development and provide your feedback/opinions then it would be a good idea to get the game during Early Access, but I would wait another few months or into 2024.

I will be keeping track of Astride's development process so I will be updating my review during major updates to the Early Access release. As both a Patreon and Kickstarter supporter I truly hope that Astride continues development at a regular rate and more content as planned in their road map.

One of the best story games I've ever played, and one of the few to ever make me cry too. Highly recommend anyone to play it who is looking for a great story. The game plays like a cinematic dream and paired with the breathtaking soundtrack as well, it results in amazing screenshots. It has a balanced amount of puzzles to keep you entertained and very few loading screens.

Soundtrack 10/10

I highly recommend this game to anyone who love open world RPGs. Countless hours have been put into this game, first on my ps3 (unfortuantely it crashed my 1st gen ps3, RIP). Tons of mods available for customizing the vanilla game. Definetly worth the money spent.
