Recommended for Skate fans (there is a control setting that lets you revert it to Skate controls, or you can try their own unique control method).

It is still a work in progress, so expect some bugs (although I haven't found any major ones just yet, touch wood!). The areas as of this review are still without some sound fx and npcs, also missions can be hard to locate or track.

If you're just wanting that old feeling of setting up your own skate area to do tricks, or setting a waypoint and nailing some ramp grind you've attempted for the 1000th time, this game is for you.

Things I'd love to see:

Injuries (the old bones broken thing added to the impact of bailing).
Hardcore mode - With injuries in mind, perhaps a persistent character that can actually get waylaid with injuries in a career mode, perhaps helping with risk/reward
NPCs - I'm sure these are coming, but I remember the old vids of people trying to do tricks or annoy NPCs, which was part of the fun of the previous games.

Keep up the good work anyway to the team and enjoy this early look into a good Skateboarding sim!

A fun game that challenges you. When you die it's your own fault (aside from when climbing up a ladder to reach a ledge, boo to that). Keep coming back to this one after many years!
