Let me start off by saying that I've never written a review for a game before. This is by far one of the best games I have played in a very long time.

Pros: The gameplay is fantastic and smooth, the mechanics and controls are very easy to pick up and learn, the artwork is superb, and the music is a great compliment to tie it all together. I was hooked after the first 10 minutes into the game. I love the design and flow to the game, and while I've been confused at some points on what to do next, I'm never lost for too long. The game is challenging yet not head-bangingly difficult, and every time I gain a new ability I'm always ready for the next phase of the game to use it. I've definitely yelled curse words when I've died to a boss for doing something stupid, but that's how into this game I am.

Cons: The only gripe that I have had (which is just probably a personal issue) is that my Logitech controller apparently cannot map every single function in the game. For instance, I have to use my keyboard to access inventory. For some stupid reason, I thought I had to learn how to equip charms in the game because my controller said a button was mapped for the inventory, but it never worked. Then when I tried it with my keyboard, it did. Nonetheless, I didn't use charms for the first 1/3rd of the game (dumb, I know). I've only found one glitch thus far, and unfortunately it caused me to have to restart, but it really wasnt a big deal (FYI, don't clip the corner of an elevator when it's coming downwards, as it will knock you into the floor below and you cannot escape.) Otherwise, at this point in time, I have had no issues with this game.

For the pricepoint, I HIGHLY recommend this game. If you like Metroid-type games, I'd be willing to bet money you will sink several hours into this game with ease and joy.
