FM24 is arguably the most challenging iteration of the game one could ask for as there's a fair amount of randomness to almost everything and there's no easy build-a-team-and-sit-back approach no matter what league or club you play with. Also, I've played this game at least for 15 editions now but this will be the first time I review it. Why? Because I just want my Steam Awards badge. Thank you.

Insanely fun game for anybody that's good at FPS but wants a linear story line and much less of an "open world". Imagine a CoD but lots of flavour, aesthetic, and mechanics to it. Didn't play the previous two games but found this to be fairly sufficient in terms of what I needed to know about the franchise and how it works. The plot is as mindbending as it can get but I love that it's a wicked spin on the first two games and the links don't really need to be justified as the gameplay is really all about going ham with everything you got. Will recommend multiple playthroughs for the different choices you've to make along the way.

ABSOLUTE RECOMMEND. Finished it 4 times, will probably do it many more times in the future too. A true testament to what Ubisoft can actually do if they put their minds to it but they're busy killing every franchise they've started. Reference to the OG Far Cry by Crytek very evident but this is in its own league.

Far Cry 4 is everything Ubisoft showed off in their previews and trailers except it's not Far Cry 3. The plot line is weak, though I admire that they tried to do something similar to Far Cry 2 with a whole civil war and rebellion sort of thing it falls off the cliff very quickly as your character does in the game in all those endless mountain and flying missions. A lot of action, however, especially with the two DLCs, but the moment you unlock the biggest weapons, the game is practically just a walk. Props to Ubisoft for those Shangri-La missions tho (really liked the visuals).

By now Ubisoft is its own genre as one YouTuber famously said, and this game couldn't be more true when it came to that. Different from every other Far Cry game and yet so similar. Would recommend but don't waste your time going for 100% completion and all that. Game can be finished in under 20 hours, so keep it to that.

What can I say about Age of Empires II except that it is probably the greatest RTS game ever created. I have a very deep sentimental attachment to this game that I share with very few other games. Shaped my childhood growing up to be very honest. Released over 20 years ago but always playable and relevant. The improvements to the campaigns, maps, and the AI were remarkable. Every time I boot it up, it feels like I'm faced with a real, and nostalgic, challenge that my brain just keeps wanting more of. Absolutely the best.
