Reseña de Acceso anticipado
One of the best system simulations in an indie game. It focuses heavily on this aspect, and the production quality is very high probably partially thanks to the narrow focus. But even after you have seen all of the basics of the gameplay loop, you still haven't seen everything.

There is more than meets the eye

Tin Can reveals surprising depth and attention to detail in the systems simulation, as well as how external events in space affect them. There are multiple ways to deal with problems with varying effectiveness and amount of work, time and danger involved in solving them. There are strategies to deal with individual problems, as well as overall strategy with how you approach your entire run. Experimenting with different approaches extend the hours of fun you'll get out of this. Although I have to mention that I have found "the best" solution to each of the encounters that I would be tempted to use every time if the idea of experimentation wasn't more interesting.

It is also exciting

Even if you think that system simulation sounds boring, the devs have thought of even that. When things don't go according to your plan (if you even had a plan), it's easy to panic as lights go out, oxygen runs low or CO2 high, generator shuts down, hull starts creaking from pressure and multiple different system alarm sounds fill the escape pod competing for your attention and reminding you that your demise is approaching fast if you don't deal with them soon. Unless some alarm systems are broken, in which case it is startling to discover that the safety line you expected to be there to warn you actually doesn't exist, and you are way farther in serious trouble than you would have been if the alarm had sounded or the light flashed early on.

The future looks good

Absolutely fantastic work from the developers so far. The future plans they have for this game sound equally great and high quality as the existing part of it (in version 0.0.66c) and if the plans get realized with the same amount of care that has been taken so far, and with equal quality, that will only perfect the already great game even more.

Tin Can might not give you 500 hours worth of content, but every hour it does, will surely be worth it. After 18 hours, I have now survived through all of the current events in the game multiple times, but i have to go back. My escape pod awaits :)

I'm changing my review to recommended due to good points made by commenters, but only to people who are not bothered by some technical issues with the game, which i'm not happy about either.
The game still has work to be done to fix bugs and performance issues. The game runs fast enough but uses plenty of CPU for a turn-based 2D game. I've also had this version crash.

Now with that out of the way, the game is good. It evokes that "one more turn feeling" quite well and is accessible for a roguelike. And there aren't terribly many accessible roguelikes around, that also have good amount of depth to them. It provides what it promises.

And if this game still sells and an actual developer is on the receiving end, i urge them to keep working on the game some more still.

Of all games i've got, i have to give this one a special mention. In a large genre, this felt unique for a change. Melee actually felt like melee.
