Like the original, but more pleasing to look at! Excellent upgrade. My only suggestion would be to allow the user to manually rotate the camera, or scroll by moving the mouse to the edge of the screen, as many UI elements tend to get in the way.

As a huge fan of tile-based roguelikes since Castle of the Winds way back in the early 90s, this is one of the best I've played.

The negative reviews all seem to be from folks who've either never played a Wizardry game, or lack the basic skills to use Google to supplement the game's direction. This is a hardcore tile-based dungeon crawler. It's not the best in the series, but it's still a "thumbs up" game, and it's refreshing that the series is still alive at all. For $15, consider supporting the series if you want to see more!

Rogue Empire takes you back to the days of games like Castle of the Winds, but with fantastic new ways to level and customize your character. Roguelikes are a dime a dozen, but this one perfectly mixes simplicity and complexity to make a game that's accessible, but still very challenging. A+!
