This game does two things perfectly but there is lots of reading. Story and Turn based combat is perfect.

The turn based rpg side of the game is amazing and seriously 10 of 10. leveling is exciting and combat gripping. Every turn and new ability choice is exciting and meaningful. I honestly pause when thinking about what new thing to pick up.

Secondly the story telling is aces. Its kind of a joint story telling style where the focus is more on which direction the story goes. "Who correctly guess the riddle" instead of "Can you guess the riddle" It leads to caring about each characters story more and makes you really get attatched. It doesn't shy away from drastic which makes the story even more meaningful. There is an overland movement aspect which builds the world and gives the player even more agency and meaningful choices as well. It isnt a centerpiece feature but it does add to the overall game. This adds more random side stories and choices that feel perfectly in place.

Great turn based combat, rewarding lvling system, Fantastic story element that engages the player. Only negative is that there is lots of reading but thankfully the dialogue is short and to the point. Almost never too much to bother with and when I do start skim reading I can still get the jist of it.

GAME IS GOOD.

Stealth and gun gameplay is good but the ending is bitter story wise and very anti climatic gameplay wise.

I did like the 3 family members but it seemed right when you were getting invested in the story it was cut short.

Shoulda just reinstalled Far Cry 3 or 4.

This game is a true diamond in the rough that is "Survival crafting exploration early access."

Subnautica has become my absolute favorite in its genre and the developers have not let me down in the slightest (where many others have). The gameplay has become very polished and as soon as it is optimized it will be a true masterpiece. Subnautica reinforces your fears of the deep but once you overcome them you find a mesmerizingly beautiful world.

My only negative is at the moment it is not fully optimized and a little buggy but it is still very much being worked on.
