Still the best city building game par none in 2022.

after the (beta)patching has fixed the worst of the problems:

Viking Conquest offers a (very linear) storyline and some interesting new features like naval combat into the game. It is probably the most you will get out of M&B:W as its sequel Bannerlords is in the works. I'd recommend it to any fans of the Brytenwalda mod and for everyone else I'd suggest first checking out that mod (made by the same people as this dlc) to see the teams previous work (though keep in mind that it is free while Viking Conquest isn't and that is reflected on the features).

Unfortunately the fixes only went so far and recommending this mod as paid content compared to other free mods isn't justified atleast not until the Viking Conquest: Reforged Edition is released.

A great game of grand strategy that keeps on getting better with each dlc (except maybe for the sunset invasion). One of my favorite games of all time.

A big disappointment that is still buggy and has german text in the english version (as of update 1.31). A school book example of how not to do a remake.

A good game made great with the multitude of mods available.
