good game, please make more pc ports sega overlords

put the basic movement of super smash brothers and the (mostly) random element of weapon choice of worms, and you are down for a good time.

only real complaint is that you get used to the original maps, and the "random" map has a chance of being absolutely busted, favouring players in the right spawn point from now and then, thus I highly suggest downloading some of the workshop maps, most of which are pretty good for the most part.

It took me well over a year and a bit to discover all there is to the game when it comes to weapon properties, the physics and movement of the game.

I have had so much fun with this game, that I bought both the PC and PS4 versions of this game, just so all of my mates (some don't have a decent PC's, some don't own PS4's) to play together

Even if you gon't have any mates to play with (or if you're struggling to win games ;) ), the single player challenges do a good job of teaching players how the more common weapons and items of the game function, as well as pushing players to improve with sweet, sweet trophies.

Worth every cent.

Firstly, if you like games like Kingdom Hearts, Dark Souls, Hyper Light Drifter or are a fan of that metroid-vania genre, this game will be right up your alley, and if you're a fan of that 16-BIT asthetic, then most certainly give this a look

Even in early access, there's alot to do in this game, I've spent 6 hours and I don't even think I'm 10% done with it, and they're still adding more stuff! It's crazy. However, those 6 hours may account for alot of optional quests, which at first glance, seem skipable, and I can certainly say some of them are, all of them help to develop one's own understanding of how the mechanics and tools the game gives you, especially when every skill and attack has a different purpose, each suited for better situations more so than others

The combat is FAST. But not impossible to manage. The combat is part Kingdom Hearts part Dark Souls, in terms of how dodging and melee attacks function with a larger emphasis on the ranged attacks having monsters built specifically for the ranged attacks. And then there's the consumables with the heals and the buffs and what not, y'know, that good ol' RPG item shtuff

Music is also pretty nice, fits each stage and fight pretty well. Honestly whether you think the music is good or not is up to you, but the only way to find out is buy the game ;)

Visuals are pretty, but the first sorta section is kinda repetitive, the second being much better and having several distinctive set pieces. Hoping the rest will to

The story is also pretty intruiging, and while the whole 'amnesia' case is worn out at this point, the way its implemented into the MC works pretty well. Side characters are pretty well characterised, never really felt like any of them overlapped with each other. Wish some of the recurring NPC's had portraits, so they didn't feel so empty

I don't even know why I'm telling you this, there's a demo, go play it and make up your mind if you want to give the dev crew some dosh to make the goooooood ♥♥♥♥
