Resident evil 2 remake was of better value and is objectively better.
3 has some missing improvements from 2. Mostly in inventory management and the extra guard function.
No improvements for Nemisis like Mr X a missed opportunity. Instead only scripted scenes and boss fights.
The single player is allot shorter and has not the same replay value because 2 had those multiple paths.
A sequel should be at least have some improvements on its predecessors.
This has none.

As a remake of the original 3 it also fails. Fewer environments and monsters. Complete rewrite of the story. It is just a different game with the same name. The original is used as inspiration only.
Also again no spiders.
The city of Racoon city looks good. But it is small. Not many streets and doors to open.

As a game it self it is serviceable. There is some enjoyment to be had. The new story is average. Jill and Carlos are the best thing about the remake.

also play resident evil 2 remake it is excellent.

Short atmospheric horror game.
if you enjoyed amnesia the dark descent try it out.
It is more basic and less refined but it is engaging.

I see what they wanted to do but it is not executed that well.
Atmosphere and level design has some good points but the gameplay is a letdown.
Its frustrating, To many moments of trial and error, instant fails, and restricting controls/camera.
playing through it felt like a chore.

If you are a fan of horror games give it a spin.
Otherwise skip it.

It is not an improvement over the previous one.
Enemies are bullet sponges. Guns doesn't seem to have any impact. The biggest problem here
is that the enemies just wear simple clothing no armor. Also there is no visible impact on enemies just a knock back. So it breaks immersion and it seems unreal you need to shoot them 4 times with a shotgun.
Basis NPCs look all the same.

The jungle and architecture look great. A huge improvement compared to Rise with its bland caves and mountains.
A shame that the route indication for puzzles and climbing isn't good. Mistakes will happen allot. which makes it frustrating.

If you want more tomb raider after the previous ones give it a go.
I would pass otherwise to many mistakes on the details.

It works, its playable and it is as expected.
developers communicate weekly.
Releases updates/fixes weekly.

More refined platforming, puzzles and combat compared to the 2013 version.
AI had some improvements as well. Still advise to set the difficulty on survivor at least.
Instead of a generic survivor story we have now a generic safe the natives story, with religious fanatics searching for immortality.
Also raided all kinds of tombs and crypts and did not saw a single spider, disappointing .

Generic survivor story.
average platforming. Easy compared to original.
AI is stupid. They will just run against your arrows and throw grenades on them selves.
They also do not have awareness, so stealth is easy to.

Typical blockbuster game. Fully streamlined with the boxes checked.
Has some entertainment in it.
would suggest to play on higher difficulty settings to get best experience.

All by all its worth a play.
even if it's just for seeing a girl squeal.
