Saddening because the game is fun, I find it entertaining, but if you're running solo queue you're basically playing PvE with just one other person in the match. Playing with bots should be a choice & not something that's forced by the devs as training wheels or what have you. I can understand that a majority of people would likely quit if they're constantly losing, but on that same note people will also likely quit if they have to play 100 bot matches before they have a better chance (because it's NEVER guaranteed that you won't go against bots) to play in a lobby full of real players.

Again, the game is fun, I'm not finding much else to complain about but going against bots is enough of a problem when every other game of the same genre doesn't have that applied, and if they do then it's at least not to the severe extent of this game, playing a match of 40+ players then getting to the leaderboard and only seeing your name & 1 other person's because the rest were AI lol. Just mark this game as PvE at that point.

The only reason I wouldn't recommend this to others is because of that, the gameplay itself is great but nobody likes being deceived, especially to such a large extent.

Play this with friends you already hate so you can be satisfied when the friendships inevitably end.

My first Monster Hunter game & I didn't know what to expect, but holy hell there's a lot of content & stuff to keep you interested/coming back. What initially turned me away from getting this game is that there are no "health bars" as games usually have so my initial thought was "well how am I gonna know when something is nearly dead or even getting phased" but the monsters can get knocked down, sliced up (parts severed for materials), faces broken, and so forth. Instead of the typical health bars, they'll display behaviors that indicate they're becoming weaker i.e. flying or running away, limping while doing so (if heavily damaged/few hits from death). There's a good variety of weapons to choose from such as heavy bows (which are more like cannons), dual blades which let you grind down monster's backside, spears that let you launch yourself in the air for aerial setups & combos, the list goes on. There's also Turf Wars, which are essentially monsters battling each other when they invade each other's personal space. This game really has so much to offer that doesn't seem possible at first but it's definitely a series worth checking out if you haven't yet & want something rather unique to play.

Honestly probly my favorite game of all time, all jokes aside. When I first played this game it was on ps3 and I didn't even get it myself, I found it lying around in my garage because some relatives used to stay there but must've left it. Saw the back of the disc's case cover and it seemed right up my alley. I went into it with low expectations but from the first few hours of playing I knew this was the game for me.

It's open world, the game I could compare it to the most is probably Saints Row as GTA doesn't have abilities and all that stuff. There's 5 or so different abilities you can get but they each have their own combo strings and a powered up version if you hold the attack button down. Tendrils are definitely my favorite, since you can basically stick people & infected in one place and just sever their limbs with your blade or claws. You can morph into civilians to blend in casually or you can kill & morph into soldiers/blackwatch for higher access to restricted zones. It's a very simple, straightforward game but it's just non-stop fun.

The enemies have tanks, helicopters, weapons and the best part, you can interact with all of it in different ways. You can hijack the tanks or steal weapons from soldiers, you can "weaponize" the tanks and helicopters i.e. break their missile launchers and use them against them. My most favorite thing is probly the fact that the world isn't all against you, if the soldiers see other infected, they will attack the infected, and the infected will attack the soldiers, it's not just everything vs you which is a underrated feature that many games today still don't utilize. You could just lead infected to a military base, lose their sight, and then watch them battle if you really wanted to and the simplicity of that is something that makes this game easy to keep coming back to. There's always something new to learn along the way, and there's various upgrades not just for your abilities but your base stats as well like speed, health, mass (ultimate) gain & capacity, etc. I'd recommend this game to anyone who loves sci-fi open world games or just thinks the game looks interesting.

The only downside i'd say this game has is that the controls can feel slightly strange, but it just takes some getting used to, it's not so bad that the game feels unplayable, it's just a mild critique.

A pretty fun casual game. There's a way to get skilled, but you can also beat the crap outta skilled people with random mashing and a bit of distance practice. Blocking punches and setting up kicks to dismember people never gets old, not to mention the awesome soundtrack.
