Atelier girls are pretty cute.
Story is cool.
A bit dissatisfied with the gacha side of the game, but it's still okay enough to keep me playing.

The 2D in 3D mix and the visuals are really well fleshed out. The town environments have an awesome cyberpunk vibe to them, and I kind of regret that they are not used more, as you spend a lot of time in labs and underground areas. Those environments are still really good looking however, thanks to a huge feel of scale for some of them.

Ann's outfits all look gorgeous, but for some reason the game will switch you back to the combat suit a lot of times, making them kind of useless.

The combat gameplay is okay. Upgrades are way too costly so in the end I never really upgraded anything, and stuck to mostly basic chips (which are more than enough). The ultimate version of Ann however is a mess to control.

Most characters are engaging, especially Ann and her cute semi-virtual waifu. But some of them just are annoying (talking about some of those near the end of the game ...).

And the story ... It is honestly subpar. It even managed to reduce my enjoyment of the game as it was nearing its end. It just left me with many questions and did not flow well with me.

Very glad to see the first Love Live game on PC being this polished. However, I do have mixed feelings about the game overall.

Visually, it looks awesome (I wish it went above 1080p native, but that is already good enough). The sprites and animations are polished, the visuals are great. The different zones have distinctive looks. Of course, the characters and voice acting are on the level of the anime and other LL content. And we have varied expressions for the artworks.

The combat feels weird. Controls are responsive, but it sometimes feels clunky to play. There is not really any incentive to use different summon characters expect for progression in the levels (Kanan once again is left out, with probably the less useful ability). Equipment and weapons add a bit of variety to the game, but you quickly manage to craft some very good gear, and usually just stick to it.

The game is on the easy side. I do not think it is a bad thing, but Metroidvania fans probably will dislike that aspect.

I still recommend the game, but wait for a sale, unless you are enough of a fan to justify the price.
It is 30 euros for around 8h of gameplay and close to no replayability, so you really have to take that into account.

Very happy for us playing on PC to finally get this game. It was one of the PS5 games that hyped me the most.

The game is difficult (I'm bad), but is a lot of fun so far. Can't wait to get better cycles after cycles.

I'm glad that this PC port is so complete in regards to options as well as supported features.
Pre-compiled shaders are a blessing, making this game run with no stutters which plague so many recent releases.
Overall a rock solid experience, even on Linux systems.

Thanks a lot Sony, Housemarque and Climax for a stellar game and PC port.

Take Trails FC. Make it even better. You got yourself Trails SC. The story and the characters are just that good.

It does have some rough edges, with a lot of repetition artificially slowing the pace. God bless turbo mode.

If you loved FC, no hesitation to jump into SC.

I can enjoy bringing Kawakami to my house and begging Sae to step on me in 4K@120. The definitive Persona 5 experience is finally here.

A rock solid classic JRPG.

I won't be adding much to the praise this game already receives. I simply felt the need to add to the pile of compliments.

The turn-based battle system is simply amazing. I've only played on the normal difficulty so far, but some fights near the end of the game showed me the huge potential of this battle system. It's easy to understand, but feels hard to master - I'll probably have to replay the game on harder difficulties to fully appreciate its complexity.

Side note : Having a high-speed mode is a blessing, as animations can be ... on the slower side.

The different party characters are all very interesting, and each have their battle quirks. I've had a blast playing and meeting each one of them, as well as some of the other main characters in the story. Having party characters actually leave the party for an extended period of time until the finale made the story more interesting (no cliché "the whole group stays together"). It also means you have to adapt every now and then to a new play style, which I found pleasing.

Where the game absolutely shines for me is the story and the atmosphere it brings through its splendid OST. The world building is very rich, but is not dumped on you by huge chunks. Instead, you're slowly being immersed in the different elements of this world, along the plot of this game. For the more curious of us, there also are additional lore tidbits here and there, through books or interactions with NPCs, that further build the whole world.

Taking the time to explore and backtrack to some zones or talking to NPCs as the story progresses almost always brings up new dialogues, which feels rare nowadays, but is an important element to make the events that take place in the game actually believable, as having an impact on the lives of everyone.

Finally, the game looks very good, with its quite unique art style (I love those chibi sprites) - as well as its diverse town environments.

Trails in the Sky FC is, as people praise it, quite exceptional. The PC port being that good (custom aspect ratios, optimizations, ...) is an awesome addition to an already brilliant package.
