I seriously can't recommend this game enough. The story hit way harder than expected, and the art and music were super atmospheric and wonderful. The best part was the dialogue tbh - super realistic and relatable. Also, the multiple ending aspect was a big surprise! I got the WORST ending first and literally felt so upset and empty until i got the "retry?" option. I got all 4 endings and I'm glad I experience the worst one first because it made the others so much more interesting

i may not have beaten the main game yet.... but Demon Tower is reason enough to buy it 100000%

i'm a huge fan of the danganronpa series and this is easily my favorite game within it (i'm in the middle of v3 but i'm 99.999% confident that this opinion won't change). the art, gameplay, and dialogue in this game all are a step above trigger happy havoc. as much as i love the characters in the first game.. the characters in goodbye despair are just much more memorable and lovable. especially my queen chiaki who i miss dearly . if you played the first game or watched the anime, i 100% recommend goodbye despair. well worth the money whether you get it on sale or not. get some tissues ready tho cuz this ♥♥♥♥ gets depressing

I saw this game at PAX east back in 2017 I believe. Their booth immediately pulled me in since I'm a huge fan of pixel art in games. At the time, they only had the store playable as a demo. Without even getting to try out the dungeons, I was already hooked on this game. When it finally came out I IMMEDIATELY bought it, pouring hours into it over just a few days. The ending was a little disappointing I have to be honest. Felt like it didn't make much sense with what we'd gotten for the story so far. Regardless I still loved the game and would recommend it to anyone who asked. The art and music are INCREDIBLE and it definitely has replayability.
