Edit: I've played this game for a while now, pretty much every day since two days after launch. This game is amazing. Words cannot describe how amazed I am with this game. You dont need to have a big brain to play this, but it certainly helps. There's more play time in this than there is for cyberpunk 2077, and I'm not kidding. Its as if they remade cyberpunk but it's a much better text based sandbox game. Below is my review about 10 minutes into the game. Theres so much to find out here and I see that the devs have taken inspiration from many similar games such as hacknet and uplink, both of which i have played and enjoyed. You are crazy if you dont wanna play this game.

>use task manager to kill the game

I can't believe that there's less toxicity in the game than there is in pretty much every kid's game. the youtubers who play it and their community suck tho

Edit 2: I got permanently banned for cod lobby language. Thanks for the memories, maybe the real impostor was the friends we made along the way.

The controls feel unnatural for a keyboard player, and yes I know this is a fighting game but everything feels like it was designed for a controller and the keyboard controls were rushed last minute. It took me like 10 minutes getting past the tutorial cuz of the control design. Will update once I try it with a controller.

I just have a good gaming chair.

horrible DLC. the guns are all limited time use, and only for 7 weeks. dont even bother clicking.

this literally took me 6 minutes to beat and I spent at least 2 minutes of the 6 figuring out grappling hook physics.
I expected a karlson clone, but other than the bad textures the game was pretty good overall, the ending was quite heartwarming.

I've only played for like 2 hours as of writing this, but I think I have enough experience with this game for me to make a valid argument of my opinion.
First of all, I got this for free. Yes, for free. This is also partially why I gave this a good review.
Second, it is very easy to use just for basic fps if early 2010s graphics don't bother you. As a person who, until 2021, gamed with a macbook pro from 2013 and played mainly half life and cs 1.6, this is very acceptable if you get used to it. As of now I'm using a GTX 960 and I get really good frame rates. Fps, not a problemo.
The learning curve is very steep since I've had trouble changing a lot of values and stuff, I've used unity before and I can say that literally just learning C# is easier than making a half decent game with this. It is theoretically possible to make a AAA game with this, but you'll need to recode a lot of things (think of what DDLC's creator did with renpy when making it and imagine doing it thousands of times). In other words, not worth it unless you wanna make games for your 5 year old cousin.
The devs are pretty scummy, they make their crappy DLC look like some epic thing and overcharge them, acting as if Jesus himself landed on Earth whenever a sale comes out.
They also bribed a lot of people to give them good reviews for steam awards, and they added an "apology note" saying that they wanted "good" and "constructive" reviews, covering it all up. I'd prefer it if they just admitted that they were being a jerk, would forgive devs.
I'm only giving this a good review because I got it for free and that I want free steam points from the devs.
