Don't get this game right now. It's full of bugs and obviously wasn't finished yet. I've tried really hard to defend it and there's a lot of good here, but it's overshadowed by sloppy enemy/vehicle spawns and various other bugs. Hopefully by this time next year, it will be a different story. Until then, wait until they fix the game.

Short and sweet demo with a free game bundled in when it releases. Bought it for the free game and to benchmark my new PC to see how it handles RTX. Noticed a few hitches during gameplay, but I will chalk it up to it being a demo and not the full release.

Incredibly fun arena shooter with a high skill ceiling. If you like Halo and Portal, you will fall in love with this game.

I think the campaign is pretty good so far, but the combat loop is so restrictive that it makes the game stale about 1/3 of the way through. Glory kill for health, Burn for armor, then chainsaw to get your ammo back. Ammo is incredibly scarce, forcing you to use your chainsaw every thirty seconds, no pistol for moments that you run out of ammo, and melee attacks do absolutely no damage. Multiplayer is so dead, I've only been able to find a few matches (not that it's any fun to mercilessly beat a single doom slayer to begin with) The worst part is all of the cosmetics hidden away behind multiplayer xp that are never going to see the light of day because no one plays this game for multiplayer. The least they could've done was add the option for co-op for campaign, but nothing. Why they didn't add a quake style multiplayer for this game is beyond me. I have no idea who is responsible for taking the game in this direction, but they need to be fired. Wait for this game to go on sale, if you are thinking about getting it. There is some enjoyment to be had, but the game has many flaws. Don't get wrapped up in the hype. Will update my opinion on this after I finish the campaign, if my opinion has changed.

Update: Now I REALLY can't recommend this game. They just updated it with Denuvo Anti-cheat which runs at kernal level. Reports have said this has caused performance issues, as well as the anti-cheat continuing to still be installed after uninstalling Doom Eternal. For those that own the game already, DO NOT UPDATE YOUR GAME!

Very fun FPS MMO with a lot of depth. Has made lots of improvements since year 1.

Paid $15 when the game came out, and now I'm expected to pay another $15 for "prime" status. Screw that.

Short and amazing. I loved every minute of this.

Super fun game. Games in Early Access, meaning no story or tutorial mode, but if you're willing to spend a couple hours in training mode to learn basic moves and combos, you'll have a great time :)

Framerate locked at 30fps with vsync off. I'm not sure if this was developed with the intention of being 30fps all the time, but no. That's not acceptable for pc gaming. Unlock the framerates and I'll change my review.

Edit: upon further knowledge, I found out the 30 fps is intentional and was how the game was programed at the time. Didn't realize this was one of those games that clocked itself with the refresh rate. Still would like an explanation on the store page so others would be aware of this, although I am a bit confused as to why you would have the option to turn off v-sync in the first place.

One of the best fighting games I've ever played. If you like Marvel vs Capcom, you'll love this game. Also has an incredible tutorial mode for those just getting into fighting games.
