STILL WAITING FOR A SEQUEL, MONOLITH!

Note: This game was a ♥♥♥♥♥ to run on modern hardware, and it occasionally crashes from time to time.

With that being said, this is one of the most unique first-person shooters I've ever played because of its anime mecha-inspired aesthetics. I grew up playing Half-Life and completely missed this one (this game was released around the same time as HL), but after playing it, I can appreciate that this was one of the early examples of story-driven FPS games.

Gameplay is split into two types: one is on-foot, and the other sees you controlling a giant mech (it's like Gundam but in FPS).

The game may feel unpolished and difficult (you can score critical hits on enemies...but they can too which results in unfair one-shot kills), but overall it was incredibly fun from beginning to end. Fans of FPS games should give definitely give Shogo a go.

This is surprisingly one of the best co-op games I've ever played. There's huge variety in the gameplay (each chapter freshen things up) with an intriguing story premise you don't usually see in games. And the game is quite gorgeous (and at times trippy) with its smooth and clean graphics.

Absolutely recommend it. Very easy to get into if you're looking for something to play with girlfriend, buddy, dog or whatever.

No words can express how awesome it is to see RetroArch officially out here on Steam. This has been my go-to emulator frontend for years! If you love playing retro games from past console generations and want to put them all in one single app, this piece of excellent software right here is all that you need.

It takes a bit of effort to get set-up as you will spend some fair bit of time figuring out which core works best for certain games or consoles. But I can guarantee you, once you have everything working, it's so worth it.

Although only a few select cores are available to download through Steam compared to the standalone version, you can copy core files from the latter to this version. There are much better cores out there for better compatibility.

I've spent an ungodly amount of hours revisiting games from my childhood as well as discovering hidden gems and stuff I missed the first time around. I wholeheartedly recommend this if you have a deep appreciation for classic games (NES, SNES, Genesis/MegaDrive, GB/GBC/GBA/DS, Saturn, PS1, PSP, N64, Arcade/MAME, etc.) However, I think some more modern platforms like PS2, GameCube, Wii are better off using their standalone emulators instead of playing through Retroarch.

Happy to see this on Steam. Played this many years ago and found it to be a short but charming point-and-click adventure. Loved the art and music. Can be beaten in 10-15 minutes.

Early Access Review
This will definitely go down in history as one of the scariest games ever made.

If you're like me and have grown up watching wacky game shows such as Takeshi's Castle and Wipeout which involve contestants going through a gauntlet of obstacle courses, then this game is your chance to participate in one! Definitely a blast to play with friends with the kind of 'One more round' gameplay that keeps you hooked and coming back for more. With its cutesy and colorful graphics, the game appeals to even the most casual of gamers and has become one of my favorites this year during this godawful corona season.

It's literally one of my favorite video game franchises of all time and one of my favorite video games EVER. PERIOD. but im gonna give a thumbs down for the online-only DRM. Once the game goes offline, the game (and all of that overpriced DLC you've purchased) are GONE. That ♥♥♥♥ don't fly right with me.

EDIT: And it still don't three years later in 2023.

Had a ton of fun playing this with friends. A very fun and addictive arcade racer highly reminiscent of retro racing classics such as OutRun and Top Gear. Very easy to pick up and play, levels end pretty quickly so you'll end up going for 'one more game' and there are tons of levels and unlockable cars. The graphics are colorful and gorgeous with its retro aesthetic and soundtrack is brilliant. Each song definitely makes you feel like a badass when driving at top speeds. An excellent choice for multiplayer split screen, boot this up and play this with your mates, and you'll have a great time.

That last level was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bastard, seriously some of the toughest platforming I've done in a long time.
