leddit nerds spamming le-downvote because they cant read past a headline

earned a permanent mute (at least i think its perm) in the game and not sure why lol - it seems that if 3x+ report you for anything, it's an automatic mute (potentially ban?) i contacted support 3x but the appeal system is completely automated. they don't tell you why they muted you and wont tell you the duration. I assume because they are overwhelmed with the large influx of players they just made it completely automated. i am not comfortable spending $50 on a house cosmetic or $30 on a weapon skin if they won't even take a moment to have an actual human read the appeal.

- Extremely fun game with awesome open world PVP. Plays like an arcade or an .io style game. Each run you start fresh with a level one character and need to re-gear, re-level and rebuild your base. If you die, you drop your items and your level resets to 1. At the end of the run, your points are tallied and added to your account profile. Your account levels up at a slow pace, offering small talent tree bonuses. This means that even though it's like an arcade game or an .io game where you start new each run, you also have an account wide, long term progression, without becoming extremely OP from level one. The bonuses are mostly minor things such as 5% more HP, 10% faster cooldown rate, or better chances at finding gear or taming pets. Yes, you can tame pets and keep them forever, you just have to re-level them with each new run.

- Dozens of different weapon types, different weapon rarities, different skills on weapons, different abilities on each character. Each run will be different if you want it to be! Or, you can grind for your favorite gear and then destroy others bases. (Gathering and base building are simple, yet enjoyable. Placing movement tiles, turrets, walls, etc. allows for some really fun skill based game play during PVP. For instance, you can use movement tiles to quickly jet away from an incoming enemy, throw a trap behind yourself to snag him, then turn and engage after you place a sentry or two, or just escape back to the safe-zone in town if you are outmatched. Simple, but there is some skill involved.

- Teams of only up to 5 mean fun rival battles without giant zergs clearing the server until they are the only ones left. Occasionally all top 5 players on the server will be in one group, but I found this to be very rare. Typically you have 2-3 groups fighting for control over the world boss and the other smaller 4 bosses on the corners of the map. I play with one other person and we actually do very well with just the two of us.

- The developers are VERY OPEN to listening to suggestions, and they update the game almost daily. It's refreshing for developers to listen and implement within days.

- Player base is not huge, which could be good or bad. It's absolutely fun seeing the same people playing each day, making rivals in game and fighting... but this could also mean that if people quit, the game could be left pretty empty.


-Quite P2W as the game currently stands. While it's theoretically "possible" to earn free heroes and pets, currently it would take at least a few hundred hours to earn the hero that you want to play, only as a tier 1 hero. I've played 30 hours currently and only have 1 out of the 5 shards needed for the character I want.. (Additionally, there's 3 tiers for each character, each tier requiring more shards, and it's random which character shards you pull... Not to mention as new heroes come out and new pets come out, the chances of pulling your favorite hero diminish with each new one released.)

Chat in the game is pretty quiet, and many on the US English server are foreign language speaking, so it's kinda hard to find a group that can communicate with each other well.


The game is very fun, very solid game play with tons of fun to be had. If it becomes a little easier to earn gold in the coming weeks I would 100% recommend the game. It's enjoyable as it stands, which is why I am voting "Yes" - I just hope that it becomes a LOT easier to grind for gold, and we can welcome some new players to the game.

pay to win big time, developer slowly has introduced more and more pay to win where you can't keep up anymore as a f2p.

theres a reason thousands of ppl still play this game. only negative is that we are still waiting on dedicated servers

really awesome game, devs feel like they actually care :D

sweet game, multiplayer is awesome. new seasons every 6 months or so, reminds me a lot of diablo 2. has lots of references toward d2 also. if you're a fan of that, youll be a huge fan of hero siege. highly recommended.

Edit- Thought I would add this section because some far left blue haired feminists are downvoting this game because a developer posted some truth on twitter and these wymxn have nothing better to do than sit at home, eat and whine online. if you see any reviews talking about the developer instead of the merits of the game, make sure to report the review as well as the account, perhaps with something like:

"Negative vote brigading from a reddit thread based on a tweet of a developer. Not reviewing the game, simply leaving a negative review because they don't like a dev."

In addition, to make up for these false reviews, leave Hero Siege a positive review if you like the game. The developers are only 3 people working in a tiny studio.
