DO NOT BUY STARTER EDITION!
Great game. Only had for around a week and I already have over 20 hours logged. The game is super polished adn plays super well. It is also a great game to play with friends.

This game is a guilty pleasure. I mainly play Sims to build, not to actually play, and Sims 3 is the best way to do that, in my opinion. If you want to play, go with Sims 4. If building suits your fancy, this is the way to go.
