Do not buy this game for multiplayer. Multiplayer is broken beyond repair. Don't try to troubleshoot the multiplayer, you'll just get frustrated and leave a poor review.

Beamdog- don't sell things that dont work. Don't have advertised features which do not work. You didnt even have to make a game, you re-released a game and it works poorly.

Best RTS-RPG ever made.

excellent RTS game, similar to starcraft II or total annihilation

I spent $1500 and 1800 hours on one character, 7 years ago. Its all out of date, now.

The game has been essentially reset. All my progress and grinding has amounted to very little in the new system.

The game is still pay to win. Just play something else. There are better games out there.

If you are serious about games, don't play this one. If you are casual, this game is ok to mess with, if you can figure it out.

As a long time jolly cooperator, I am disappointed at the consistent, long-term, network problems. I am kicked from nearly every game I join, randomly, after a few minutes. Sometimes, I can hang around long enough to kill bossses with the host.

I am disappointed in the "mandatory pvp" when you simply wish to cooperate. Every single cooperative session deals with an player invader. Its a 2v1 every time. So we spam a bunch of spells at some stupid invader and then he goes away. I don't want to pvp, but I am left with no choice. So, now I must add pvp only spells to my kit, to deal with toxic invaders. Sometimes, they kill the host or the spirit, and we have to start over at the grace again, thanks for wasting my time. I never wanted to pvp in the first place.

Suggestion: make pvp opt in or opt out. I would like to opt out and never deal with a human player invader. People get very good at this games, and very skilled invaders can really ruin things with the variety of tools at our disposal. Can we just get all the pvp oriented players to fight each other? Simply opt in, or opt out. Don't make coop also pvp.


I think fromsoft has been blessed with many players playing elden ring. I think they are not adding more servers to compensate for the popularity of the game, and this is resulting in network overload, hence the network problems.

Did they take down their dark souls servers, and also convert most or many of them to elden ring servers?

I used to enjoy jolly cooperation on dark souls for an entire playthrough with little to no network problems. So, we are regressing?

How can I give a positive review with such glaring problems?

I played for 30 minutes. I'm not a story guy. This game is not a shooter. Thats all I can tell you. Very poor aiming mechanics. 3/5. I think there is a story.
