------UPDATE (9/16/14)------
I have tried the multiplayer aspect of the game and it is terrible just like Full Burst. It is extremely laggy and still has transmission error problems. Full Burst was barely playable, but somehow it got worse in Revolution!!

I have beat the tournament mode (the "equivalent" to a story mode in Full Burst), it took roughly 7 hours (including the ninja escapades) except this game was much easier compared to Full Burst.

As said before, this is overall a solid improvement over the last game with many more playable characters. Expect this game to take roughly 7-10 hours to complete the tournament mode + ninja escapades and a couple more hours to do the pointless sidequests which do not yield any major rewards. Multiplayer is unplayable and they probably will not fix it (just like they didn't with Full Burst, however I really hope they do).

I am going to compare the game to it's Full Burst counterpart and will have my review for that game down below this review. Basically this game is everything I wanted Full Burst to be and more.

Free Roam is much much better, there is still some quick frame drops happening for me, but not anywhere near as bad as the Full Burst free roam. It is actually much more fun too and there is more of a purpose to it in this game than Full Burst.

Graphics are improved as well, the cutscenes were great in Full Burst and same goes for this game (looks exactly like the anime). Overall everything graphic wise to me is improve, from the free roam maps to the in game characters. Great Job!

The new 4 way combat mode is great, not only are they pretty quick but it is not laggy at all even though there is a lot going on and locking on and off and switching between targets is pretty flawless in my opinion.

The main game I think is longer too, I have not beaten it yet, However I beat the Full Burst story mode in roughly 7 hours, im a few hours into this game and there is still much more to do.

More playable characters, enough said about that one.

Awesome new Ultimate Justu when teaming up with the correct support characters, which was not in Full Burst.

New customization feature for characters which is cool beyond just customizing substitution justu in Full Burst.

TL;DR Full Burst was a pretty good game but this is awesome. Much better overall and well worth the money and support.

If you're getting this to fight people via the online multiplayer, do not buy it. Over half of the matches you will play will end in a "transmission error" because of the broken servers they use. The publishers also do not plan to fix it anytime soon. If you are buying it for the story and the characters then go for it, it is a fun game with a 7-10 hour single player story line with plenty more to do after you finished it. Also there are tons of playable characters and follows the anime (However if you are not up to the 4th great ninja war arc there will be spoilers).

I DO NOT recommend this game because I bought it for the multiplayer and it barely works and if it does it is extremely laggy. If you plan on playing it for the story, yes it is fun, but save $40 and just watch the anime. The only thing going for it is its fun gameplay (besides the often pointless and laggy "free roam") and the vast amount of characters you can choose from.
