My first extraction shooter:

most of the mixed/negative reviews are either skill issue or bad pc, some are constructive criticism, which in turn gives the devs something to work for.

as the title says, its early access. Very active devs with 3 patches already since release, gun play could be better as it is clunky, switching items was very slow and painful but they have patched that *somewhat* and are working to fully overhaul that system.

if you have an SMG you basically win the game if you both notice each other at the same time, the rate of fire of most guns is what will get you instead of damage, as most weapons do almost the same damage.

not the best optimization playing at 60 fps with ultra graphics rtx 3060 r7 5800x 32 gb ram, still medium gets me around 80fps and looks amazing.

nail gun as starting weapon is an interesting choice, makes basically no noise, very good for the AI zombies walking around, but don't let someone hear you shoot the nail gun because you'll seem like easy pickings. Also, a 3 stack of just nail guns can get wiped by someone with a shotgun or any other bigger weapon. The inconsistent fire rate of the nail gun is, a little annoying, sometimes when you're reloading and cancel just before you finish the gun just doesn't reload, maybe a system where you can't cancel the animation in the last 1 second would be nice, also does basically as much damage as the 9mm ammo / pistol, but as i said, the fire rate is what will get you.

easy to get money, already have almost 300K in the bank and i bring at least a pistol / shotgun almost every round (granted i don't die every round) and easily make more money than i spend on my kit that i bring, and they just lowered the requirements to get some of the weapons with gunsmith who is a cash only guy and can just buy any weapon from him, granted you level him up.

Servers were REALLY bad at the start, sometimes i wouldn't even be lagging and i wasn't able to put anything into my hand, causing me to die, by aliens that were chasing me and hitting me exactly where i was, so it wasn't lag, i could also open doors and turn on lights.

some games my buddy would just crash cause of the connection, same thing happened to me a couple times, i'm sure they're working towards this as of now.

horror/aliens:

Aliens feel weak if you're in a big team, they basically cant do anything if you have flares.

the eggs they lay still scare the ♥♥♥♥ out of me, loud ass scream and jumpscare.

emp is a good tool but there's still a lot of bugs with their emp scream, if you're not holding your flashlight it doesn't affect it and you can just cancel all the progress the alien has made looking for eggs. i HATE the toxic gas they spit at you, sometimes i'm not even worried of dying i just get really annoyed at the aliens, but all i have to do is run into the next room and turn the light on.

very creepy atmosphere, most of my friends are very confused how i play this game solo and not ♥♥♥♥ my pants.

lots of ambiance immerses you into the game, can hear the aliens clanking around in the vents, or when the aliens go invisible it makes this very notable screeching sound.

This is the only game in a while i have actually had fun playing solo, also my first extraction shooter, maybe i'm just really into these types of games, also really into horror so the combination is perfect.

overall fun game, 7/10.
