Dark Souls is easily the best game of this series to make it to PC (I liked Demon's Souls better, but it is PS3 exclusive). The downside is that this port is kind of junky, so I'd recommend DSfix to make some minor tweaks to improve the experience.
Pros:
-Combat is incredibly deep and varied and doesn't get old
-Lots of areas, each with new enemies and new ways to thwart your expectations
-Brutal but fair difficulty that you will come to master, making you feel accomplished
-The game gets more creative the farther in you get
-Insane bosses that you won't forget
Cons:
-Sloppy port renders at sub-HD quality graphics then upscales (can be corrected to do true 1080p or higher with DSfix mod)
-Designed for controller; challenging to use a keyboard/mouse
-Brutal difficulty may frustrate some players
