Killed myself to become my cancerous son, joined the Satanists, and started doing dark healing and eating kids souls and hoping the cancer went away.

It didn't. 10/10 would die of cancer again.

The UI is a confusing mess of menus. It's also really big by default, but luckily you can reduce the scale in the settings.
The trade system is clunky. You have to assign each city its own trade routes, which when you get a large amount of land is very micro-managey and tedious.
For seemingly no reason, there about 6 different sets of points which you can use to buy or unlock things, as well as EU4's stability mechanic.
The character system is shallow and seems to have been forced in to appeal to CK2 players.
Finances are overly simplified, despite the rest of the game being very complex. Instead of a slider for taxes, army maintenance etc. you are limited to 3 options, low, normal, and high.
When you zoom in to the map the camera needlessly tilts back and the map is covered in a light fog making it more difficult to see what's going on.
For some reason you can rotate the camera by clicking the mouse wheel, but it always snaps back to north at the top of the screen.
The game is very laggy (below 30fps) on higher speeds, even on a new high end PC (i5 8400, GTX 1070, 16GB RAM).

I'm disappointed. Paradox seem to have taken their favourite mechanics from CK2, EU4, and HOI4, and mashed them all together in a Roman era setting, and it falls short. I refunded.

A much slower, more confusing version of minecraft.

Early Access Review
I bought this game on sale from Humble Store for £0.53, and I overpaid. This game doesn't even function properly as a game.

The game claims to be in early access, but there has been no update from the developers in over 2 years, so it's safe to assume it's been abandoned.

The premise is great, a film studio management game, but you are unable to actually produce any films.

Firstly, the construction is really clunky. After placing walls, there is no clear way to remove them until after they've been built, but the AI doesn't seem to be able to build anything for whatever reason.

There are 3 speed settings, paused, normal, and fast. Pause and normal work as you would expect, but the fast setting doesn't appear to change the speed of the game at all.

There is no way I found to open a pause menu where you could save your progress, or quit the game. I had to exit by alt-tabbing out of the game and force closing it from the taskbar.

When you click to start writing a new script, even after hiring a screenwriter, you are unable to select one to actually begin the process. I wish I could give a more in-depth view of the rest of the gameplay, but I couldn't get to any of it.

It has trading cards (what game doesn't these days), and that seems to be about the only thing about the game that actually works as intended.

0/10

After watching some streams of the pre-release version, I was excited for this game. It seemed like a new version of Transport Tycoon, a game I love. Unfortunately it fell far short.

Here is a list of issues I had within the 1st 10 minutes of playing the game:

The music volume control does not change the music volume.
The game freezes before and after every loading screen.
The game freezes when trying to build anything.
Moving mouse to the right edge of the screen does not move the camera as it should. (Top, bottom and left edges all work fine)
I got a maximum of 20fps even when paused during the tutorial level. (My system is not the best, but is well above the minimum spec)
I was going to try the game for an hour to see if it got any better, but couldn't because it crashed within 15 minutes of launching.

For a full release of a game I was expecting something polished and stable, not this pile of bugs, freezes and crashes. I have requested a refund.

Pros:
+Fun logic puzzles
+Good visuals
+A good few funny easter eggs
+Creepy backstory

Cons:
-Very short, it took me less than an hour to complete and the rest of my play time to find easter eggs and bag a few achievements.
-No replay value

Overall I reccommend this game if you're into logic puzzles, otherwise this will go straight over your head.
I also wouldn't have bought this game if it was full price. £4 seems like a bit too much for a maximum of 2-3 hours of gameplay. If it's on sale, however, definitely a good buy.
