The game is decent. If I could give a 'neutral' review, I think I would give this game a neutral.

As others have said, I don't actually believe it to be much like Rimworld.

The knowledge / research system is kind of interesting - with books that lords have to learn and retain, then transfer knowledge to others by writing new books or conversing, otherwise it's 'forgotten' and the related buildings begin to decay.

But other than that, I found it to be quite easy, and the mechanics / goals / etc do not really make me feel like coming back for a second playthrough. I just think there isn't too much replayability here, personally.

I'll keep checking on the game to see its progress :)

Great game with a good mix between Roguelike economy-building and tower defence - but! You get to control your character and take part in the defence of your realm.

The perk system and mutators allow for a lot of replayability, and after you finish all the levels, there are great challenges available and an 'endless' mode too.

This is my 'chill game' at the moment, I love playing it.
The devs are also taking suggestions and actively tweaking the game to make it a better experience based on player feedback - you love to see it.

Would highly advise picking this up - I got a lot of value so far out of this for the price ^^

I've played past Persona games, and had to wait until this one came to PC.
As per usual, great music, and amazing visual style.

The ideas in the story are good/decent so far, although there are some overarching themes that I wonder why they put there.

Regardless, definitely a good game, and one that I'm going to sink many more hours into.

A short game, especially if you, like me, saw this and went "I love Cultist Simulator...I think I might love this" - you're used to the general idea. It's a great little game, though! Definitely worth the price and time to give it a go ^^

Truly a great game.

A relaxing game, with some challenging elements and a great visual style.
Can't wait to see how it develops more over the course of Early Access.
For the price, you definitely can't go wrong

I mostly launch this game to cause my PC to act like a radiator - gets cold in here sometimes.

Extremely charming game, great art style, mechanics are solid, and there's good differences between the clans.
The story mode is cool - the story is alright, and there's extra mechanics and goals thrown in, which keeps it interesting.
All in all, I'd definitely recommend it.

I have had to change my review, after all this time playing, and seeing the development.
I cannot in good conscience give this a positive review.

The game is still sorely lacking in many areas, and now it seems that is due to the developers making a totally unnecessary console port. They have mostly bugfixed over the past few years, and new content is not really coming in.

You still can't have conversations with NPCs at all, the relation system is still bad, some perks don't function properly, the AI for soldiers (especially during sieges) is still bad, kingdom diplomacy is too basic and other kingdoms declare war on you constantly, etc, etc, etc. The list could go on.

While I love this game, the devs aren't doing much/anything to help it.
The modding community is the game's only hope at this point.

PROS:
- This game is B E A U T I F U L - absolutely stunning graphics.
- Combat feels nice once you get into it, decent amount of options later on for combat combos, etc.
- Platforming is fun and challenging at times, puzzles are okay - I did spend a bit too long on some of them purely because I didn't look around enough ^^'
- Story is decent, not great, but decent.
- You get to be a freaking Jedi...It's one of the closest representations you'll get to being one!

CONS:
- Very short as RPGs go, it took me ~19h to get through the entire game. If I had collected EVERYTHING, I think maybe 21h (I left a couple of planets at like, 90%+ completion).
- Quite railroad-ey - there isn't much wiggle-room when it comes to what to do. The story is very straightforward and it kind of forces you into it.
- Some characters are not well fleshed out (even though I exhausted all dialogue interactions) and some feel forced when they 'like you' - happens too fast, little to no context/dialogue inbetween.
- No replayability, as far as I can see, there are no real 'choices'

CONCLUSION:
I would say buy it when it's on sale, maybe 30% off or so - it's a good game, it's just short.
It's a great experience, and I'd love to see another like it.
