If i had to give this game a rating it would probably be around a 7.5/10.
To be honest i am glad a game like this came out and that it did receive majorly positive reviews because im hopeful this will show ea that people do like decently written story driven rpgs and will motivate them to do more games like this one.
The story itself is alright. The most important part of it, the main character, is thankfully likeable and his motivations for doing what he does belieavable. The side characters are decently written too but the plot and the main antagonist arent anything too exciting in my opinion. It does get better and picks up the pace in the later stages which is a plus. Customization is weak with an odd design choice of letting you customize the look of your ship even though you dont do anything with it apart from travelling between planets. Enemy variety is well done which makes the gameplay feel rewarding when executed well. Some skills however are boring and uninteresting while others are fun to play around with. All in all, id say it is worth your time if you are a fan of the license and are looking for a decently written story with interesting characters and amusing gameplay.
