Restart steam and try again. They do not give a 'key' for rdr2 that you can see like gta5. Steam should be automatically handling this for you when you launch the game from steam - and will automatically authorize your steam/social club account. If you already have gta5, maxpayne3, lanoire, etc - and have a social club account linked - you need to use that old account. You cannot just make a new one. If you don't know the info for that account - check emails, or contact R*. I've posted that info in that thread.
