Played one mission and I want to write down my initial impressions before I forget. Mostly good, some bad.

Good:

* Guns and gunplay seem fine. Not really a standout (at least not yet) but interesting enough.
* I really like the enemy design, the way they're made up of components that can degrade and break apart.
* Movement seems mostly good. The default run speed (if you're not sprinting) is maybe a little low, but I like having grappling hook type mechanics in the game.
* Art style seems mostly solid. It's not blowing me away but it's reasonable attractive.

Bad:

* There doesn't seem to be much in the way of pacing; it felt like one uninterrupted stream of fighting enemies. I'd like to see more of a mix, where sometimes you're just exploring/wandering/traveling too, kinda like Deep Rock Galactic or Helldivers 2.
* Extracting at the end was a confusing clustertruck. Okay you get in the drop pod, but you're still vulnerable then and kinda stuck because you don't want to leave the pod, so then you just...die? Comparing to similar shooters, in Helldivers 2 you're invulnerable once you're in the drop pod, and in DRG you're at least really hard to hit. It's fine for it to be a struggle to get to the drop pod, but I don't think you should still easily die after you get there.

Tried to invert mouse, and it inverted both the Y and X axes. That's...not how you do invert mouse. If there's one option, that's for the Y axis.

Really interesting Tetris-like game, feels more cerebral than Tetris since you have to keep track of how the candles 'flow' from end to end. Also great execution of the vibes, the music and art is just immaculate. Looking forward to the full game!

Two other pieces of feedback for the devs:

* Sometimes my 8Bitdo Ultimate 2.4G controller wouldn't register any inputs in the game, but my Dualsense controller worked just fine. Not sure what's up with that.
* It would be amazing to have multiplayer in this, either competitive or co-op. I love playing these sorts of puzzle games with the wife.

Somehow managed to be both boring and overwhelming at the same time. Way too much confusing visual clutter for how simple the actual gameplay was in the demo. And the characters just won't shut up! Definitely suffers from indie team "we love our characters a little too much" syndrome.

Fantastic little game. Very atmospheric, mechanics-driven experience. No padding, and the game is brutal but fair. Definitely recommended.
