Played during the free trial and had a lot of fun with it.

Battle passes still are fomo junk though.

Edit: Battle Royale, Gauntlet and challenges exclusive to the gamemodes is an awful choice

It's okay, don't think it's for me though

YES

It's short, sweet and oddly charming.
- Combat is tense and unforgiving early on. (I was insta-killed by being hit in the head on several occasions, it was hilariously abrupt.)
- Satisfying and unique gunplay thanks to the heat and chamber check/unjamming mechanics.
- In-depth weapon customisation featuring different ammo types that can effect heat generation, armor penetration and stopping power as well as damage and accuracy.
- Unique enemy design, featuring sharp suited maniacs wearing masks.
- Where are their faces?
- The TVs are whispering my name.
- The dark of night keeps shooting at me.

I had some doubts about it but was glad to be proven wrong. I hope whatever the next game they make from this is really expanded upon but keep the theme. I'd love to see more of pretty much everything here, ESPECIALLY the weapons.

Gonna be honest... That's one ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up baby.

With the most recent update, they managed to reduce the file size of the game by a little under 100GB. This is great!

BUT the update before that introduced the tunnels system, which practically took away player's ability to deploy to any region UNTIL you go to that location through the tunnels, unlocking it as a pseudo fast travel option but now every region asks for water as payment for the fast travel. This would not be so bad if the tunnels themselves weren't very deceptive on where to go next. For example, completely obscuring the way from the innards to the Scorched Enclave behind an inexplicable wall of fog with no lights and completely lighting up ways to dead ends. This is bad... but that's just one of the many problems this game has.
The other problems in question:
- Quests having little to no structure or path: They are just random except for way too few exceptions.
- Weapon modding outside of suppressors or magazines or optics, not actually improving anything despite a lot of mods having stat changes (e.g. Stability is a stat for guns, but seemingly does nothing.)
- Guns feel awful to use: firing full-auto or even semi-auto a little too quickly can cause shots to fly in directions the gun isn't even aiming at. The inaccuracy from sustained fire shouldn't be so drastic even with weapon skills or mods. Speaking of which...
- Head-shots don't seem to do any extra damage: Some "rank-and-file" enemies seem to take the same amount of damage regardless of if the shot was on the head or body especially when shooting them from their side or behind them. Seems pretty necessary to me to differentiate the two differences in a game where bringing too much ammo is dis-incentivised.

They like to add content but not a whole lot of improving or fixing the content that is already there, I wish they did that BEFORE they add more content. Don't get me wrong, I like new content but I also like a game that is fun, fixed and polished. and with the tunnels update it really made me not want to play the game anymore until they actually improved some bits first, mostly the ones I've listed above. Only then will I change my review back to a positive one. I'm not like other people who say that and never follow through, I will actually change it back.

Bought this thinking it was Burnout but still had a blast playing a couple years after purchase

Got gold medals on every race and event in Career mode.

You can feel the age but it's still a fun experience, It's an old game so give it some slack. Controls are clunky and may need remapping to most people. It IS related to warframe but not to it's gameplay or story, you'll know what I mean. Gunplay's simple but satisfying, the reticle is a little inaccurate as it will show guns being either more or less accurate than they actually are. The Glaive adds some complexity with it's elements not just used against enemies but also as a utility. Exploration and having a keen eye is rewarded with supplies and money for guns you can keep (Guns from the dead cannot be kept). Movement is fine, sprinting is clunky as well as the cover system but it is helpful in a pinch.
