Steve is my main survivor and the demo does feel fun to play, cosmetics are funny tie-ins to the show and the map is a blast to play in my opinion. A shame it's getting pulled from the store. 2 hours left to snag it!

It pains me to write this review, yet it needs to be done.

THIS GAME IS UNPLAYABLE.

I've updated my drivers, turned on performance textures and turned off anti-aliasing, (it literally looks the same, is there a difference?), and it DOES NOTHING to the actual framerate. It sucks, because I've seen gameplay and bits of the story, and it's really cool, but unlike most people I can't get the game to run at a steady framerate and I have to downvote it.

I haven't had crashes - yet - but that's probably because I alt+f4 five minutes into what should have been 2.

I got it for free as a birthday gift from a friend, but this was my first full season Telltale game that I was playing, not watching, and they've let me down.

If you're gonna f*ck up on a game, Telltale, why the HELL did it have to be my favourite superhero...

If anyone knows how to fix this, tell me. I'm on Win 8 and above specs of the game, as most people can easily be.

(Note: Do not be alarmed at my play time, I have seen plenty more and played enough to get the gist of it)

So recently, the Saints Row Ultimate Franchise Pack was on sale, for about £12. Not a bad price, considering what I knew of the series. So I bought it, played it, and out of them all, this was the one that surprised me the most.

Some disagree on the positive outlook on this game, but that is their opinion. It may be an old game, with a 'not so great' port on PC, but it is totally worth the purchase. Even as a standalone, this game shines.

The Saints Row series had a lot of fans before hand, but popularity struck mostly at SR3. (That's when I first found out about it). It has the goofy side, in later titles, to avoid being called 'just another GTA clone'. But, even without the goofy, as in this game here, it is NOTHING like GTA.

Sure, you can hijack vehicles, shoot guns at anyone and run around the city at your free will. But, ask yourself, can you kill a bunch of bums by chucking them into their own shanties; take down a bunch of gangs and topple a whole city in ONE GAME?

No. No you can't.

This is why the game shines. The complete customisation, the actual living breathing city, the out of the ordinary storyline. Proper enjoyable and lovable characters. It shocks me how underrated it was to a wide range of people.

But, this is where I stop kissing SR2's ass and come clean.

The port, in my experience, isn't too bad. But it does have it's moments. For example, I tow a car and I'm suddenly driving like I'm on an ice skating rink. Going to forgive and forget, just to get rammed by the cop that was just chasing me, to get the wanted level back again. (not sure about the last one, might be in the game either way).

Various people recommend the 'Gentlemen of the Row' mod, which I am still trying to figure out how to install properly. From the looks of things, I would recommend it too, just for the sheer amount of new content.

Overall, this game is a must-buy. I really hope you don't have a shadow of a doubt about this game, because even though it's older, it's just plain amazing. (Even the graphics are still OK!)

And for the funny catagory, I'll never forget my first moment. Just completed the first mission, (not spoiling it, so I won't say what it is), and walked onto the street to hijack a car. I saw a cop run into a pimp, then pepper spray him, then proceed to beat him down. I walked into the fight, and proceeded to get destroyed by an oncoming army of pimps and cops. ONLY IN SAINTS ROW.
